CW new coaster for 08.

So is this puppy going to be forceless like Nitro or will it be good? ;)

I think it looks like it will be more like Goliath at SFOG which I really enjoy, but we won't know until we ride it.

Nitro is forceless? Since when? I absolutely adore Nitro.

Who cares is it "looks" like a Goliath? How many B & M coasters "look" like others from other parks/chains?
Now being from Ohio, I am a little miffed this went to CW and KI got ol' X-Flight.

And because this is coming to canada, you will notice that we wont take it for granted. Sorry but it had to be said. I have repeated myself countless times, that it is so difficult for us to travel all the way into the states and ride a brilliant coaster. When do I get to travel to and from just like that, oh, every four years. This is huge and we will love every minute of it. Sometimes people need to take a step back and realize what they are given and stop being so selfish.

Nyquil has always been forceless. It has more dead hills than the Sahara desert.

The trims on Raging Bull really changed the ride. It was much better before they were installed. It's very noticable that they are used.

I've gotten better rides on the Bull, and some not-as-good rides. Same can be said for Apollo (only with a higher-rated *average* ride). Nitro has always been lackluster, from MY experience.

None of them compares to the *forceful* airtime delivered by SFoG's monster...the first B&M that made me re-think my opinions on their trains. Now they're re-designing the trains?

While I still think the Beemers are mostly over-engineered, PCW might very well come out of this with one heck of a powerful ride...if it were for ME (and not for a park), I'd get it in the contract that the ride would be free of trims... ;)

The rendering does not have the unique b & m dip on the lift hill. Do you think this has been taken out lately for cost reasons (less support required)? I found this a great feature of Raging Bull. Nothing is hanging over the top of the lift hill on the first drop....

I agree that the rollout on Raging Bull and Apollo's Chariot is great for ejector air in the back of the train. I don't really know why B&M haven't using it anymore. It seemed to go away when they started building those boring Superman clones.

I can't believe how many people are already writing this thing off. I think some of you will never be happy until someone builds an exact copy of Superman at SFNE.

What's complicated about the trains? It's like any other two-bench car ever built, only the two seats in the back row are a little spaced apart. Who cares?

Longer trains it would seem to me would allow for those longer airtime hills found on the Intamin rides, instead of those pointy things you find on the B&M's with the traditional trains.

This looks great! Very excited and also nice to have a good reason to renew my CW season pass besides the location and price! One thing I noticed on the stats page:

Fiberglass and steel coaches with lapbar restraints and interlocking seat belts

Would the seatbelts be a first for B&M? I've only been on Nitro and Canuck Goliath and don't remember any seatbelts.

^This is a CF park. They probably had to redo the seat configuration to make room for the seatbelts.

Jeff - Have you been on any of the Deja Vu coasters? If so, you can't honestly say they're as easy to load as any other two-bench train. It's a cluster F to say the least.

Nitro used to have seatbelts when it first opened. They've since been removed.

hopefully the seatbelts will allow them to lay off the trims a little and get better air. The longer cars create a slightly smaller capacity than the 9 car hypers.

Yes, I've been on a Vu, and I don't see anything similar about the seats. These are actually two rows.

Yeah, I don't get it. These trains are nothing like the Vu trains.

These are just two bench trains with a gap between the back seats. Queue up in pairs and walk across. One line for each row.

I posted this in the comments in News, but perhaps it bears repeating. I've heard, although can't confirm, that the station will have 16 air gates and riders will board in groups of 2. I highly doubt that it will have any impact on capacity. Besides, Wonderland has never seen anything with capacity anywhere near what this will deliver. I think it will be fine.

Are you just afraid that your mother won't be able to sit beside you and hold your hand on the tallest and fastest coaster ever built in Canada?

What!!? How could somebody disrespect SFNE and clone their coaster? That would be stoopid. I've already been on that ride. I want something new ;-)

The only problem with Behemoth is that it is too far north and I might not make it up there for a few years.

I think this is great for Canada. My buddy has been trying to get me to go up there with him for years and now I may have to take him up on his offer.

um, I don't think this is the only new coaster CF is building for next year. If there's any more (and how can there not be?), they'll probably be announced in September or October. Kings Island will get its big new coaster - maybe next year, maybe not, but it'll be soon.
