Hello. I joined this site about 10 hours ago and already i notice alot of posts are being closed for absurd and unfair reasons. I know that the person in charge here is Jeff, and I know that after this is posted that it will so predictably be closed becasue this thread acctualy challenges the the person in charge here. When one makes a site to have fourms, shouldn't they be open to opinion and "freedom of speech?" Some of the posts that I see being closed are being closed becasue ONE person disaproves of them or feels they're "rude" or will start "bickering." Well im sorry but I think that the vast majority of the people on this site are older then 13 and can handle anything that goes on in here. Though I do think obscene and idiotic threads should be closed, the commentary that I find Jeff adds is equally arrogant and rude! I think on a site like this, people should be able to make their opinions and not have irritating "police men" running around treating them in a condecending mannor and acting as if they can do anything they want! I really like this site and value the opinions and thoughts of others and id like to hear those opinions without worrying that the may indeed be closed.
Does anyone feel the same as me?

One sentence sums this up....
It is Jeff's site and he can do what he wants with it.
Sometimes I feel that way, but I can see his point since I also run forums for another website.

Here we go again.
Why do you idiots continue to posts these topics in the forum? Oh wait I do realize why, you want attention.
I suggest you go read the TOS and if you have a problem email Jeff or one of the Mods.

Not really.
They're topics that have either.....
1) been discussed 20 times before
2) are absolutely pointless (read: "I think my park's getting a new super rollie coaster, even though it's the middle of a recession")
or
3) trail off into these silly little 'my park/your park' arguments that bore the living heck out of everyone who's sat through them before.
Welcome to CoasterBuzz. Use the search function to get caught up on topics you might have missed....with the traffic this board gets, we may have just talked about it last week.

Trev,
The day you pay all the bills for this site is the day you can dictate how it is run.

Posting, "Me too" like some brain dead AOLer. I ought to to the world a favor, and cap you like old yeller...
Its seems that anyone with an opinon on this site gets attacked! Christ! I even said in my post that i like this site but its like having a police man running around and censoring everything its getting a bit pathetic and over the top. I have been reading your threads for a little over a year and find that to this day i still see peoples threads being closed for stupid reasons.
I think Jeff has the right to run the site how he feels fit (since it's his site). I actually like the moderation here. It's helps keep the garbage topics down. I've been here since the beginning and had a post or two removed. When I read other peoples posts I don't want to hear stuff like "Thats dumb, Your dumb for saying that." I want to read sensible posts from people who can back up what they say when they disagree wits another poster.
Most of the topics that are deleted here are pointless or have just been posted recently. Read the terms of service. for more info. Jeff doesn't want "best, worst" topics they are basicly pointless and don't add anything to the site. I think the best thing to do when you join is to just read topics to see what flies then post if you have somthing to say that will add to the topic. It makes the fourms a better place.
There are alot of other coaster fourms on the net that are less moderated. They might be better for some people. I happen to like it here. I'm not a moderator here either.

Here's a thought...if you went to a restaurant, and you didn't like the way it was managed, would you go back? No, you wouldn't, because it costs you money.
Shouldn't a free site that causes you to be dissatisfied be handled in the same way? Just because it's free for you to waste bandwidth doesn't mean that you should waste your time here if you don't agree with the TOS.

Wow......this is really rediculous! You people tap dance around my acctual complaint. You're bringing up things that I never said. You eather answer my question or opinion or forget it. I try to be nice, yet you people are like wild boars. lol
Danmit, here we go again...This is Jeff's site, you aren't going to change that. Therefore, things go by his rules. He isn't leaving, so you better if you can't go by his rules. You say there is freedom of speech, ha, there is no such thing. You can't go on TV and say S*** without it getting bleeped out. The same applies here, if it goes against Jeff's TOS, you can't say it. Jeff built this site, Jeff pays the bills. Nothing will change by your little post.

If I made a forum site I'd want it run the way I wanted it. If people didn't like it they wouldn't have to stay.
I don't feel the same as you. Although some people here may.
