Coasting for Kids 2010?

Thanks, RGB!

I just saw the latest numbers, and as I expected, CP, KI and Dorney are kicking ass and taking names. I'm kind of embarrassed, however, for the West coast.

Jeff, how many west coast buzzers are there in relation to the midwest or east coast?

So, I just found out that Thursday is National Lasagna Day.

So, we're going to Kennywood and changing the marathon to Garfield?

I just posted on FB and the other forums that I am on that I will be matching any donations up to $200 that come in before 11:30 Wednesday. I hope that helps to get things rolling.

Instead of 10 hours on a coaster, we will be heading to the local Olive Garden and eating 10 lbs of lasagna*

*Soup, salad, and breadsticks are complimentary.

California is the third largest for number of visitors (behind Ohio and Florida), accounting for 8% of all visitors.

Those are the Left Buzzers. ;)

Maybe it's a cultural/geographical thing. In the Midwest and Northeast, just about everybody can relate to the idea of a trip to the central Florida attractions. Out west, it may not be that big of a deal. I dunno.

I wanted to put a thank you out here to all the people who made a donation this year. Last night I surpassed my goal with a very generous donation from someone named Keith. I'm not sure if I know keith or not. I have had several donations this year from people I've never actually met. (Thank you Facebook). Another one of my generous donations was an anonymous Buzzer.

What has really opened my eyes is all the positive comments I'm getting from everyone. I never even knew that several friends of mine and even family of mine have either been to the village or had friends who've been to the village.

So, again. Thank you all. I know the money will go to good use and the kids will appreciate it greatly.

That was a nice donation Jason. I too wish to thank all here that have given, or raised funds for this wonderful cause.

I personally like charities that are immediate. While raising funds for Cancer research is a worthy cause, it is working toward a future goal, not someone's needs that are now.

I am very impressed with the totals for this year, with one more day of fund raising to go I can't wait to see what the final totals will be!
Though it looks like I probably won't reach my goal, at least I got most of the way there, and the money is going to a great cause!

^Fund raising can continue for weeks to come. However, the cut off for the "event totals" is noon today.

Well it is now noon, while I only got another $95 to match, I put in the full $200 that I set aside. This gives me $696 in our families account. I don't know how they are going to split the amount if they will simply divide by 4, or $50,$50,$50 & $546. I don't know yet what the high totals for KI are but I think that Travis is right up there too.

Is anyone going to be at Cedar Point tonight? I'll be headed up after work and I'll be having dinner somewhere (not necessarily in the park) if anyone wants to get together.

We'll be in Sandusky, but I don't think we'll be in the park.

I think we're doing dinner and beers tonight.

Jason, I'm heading up after work and am hoping to get a few MF night rides and the all elusive buy one get one Skyscraper rides. I just don't know what time I'll get there probably 8 or so. I know your face and will look for you(park won't be busy tonight) shouldn't be hard to find you, unless you want to meet somewhere in the park at a certain time?

Jason Hammond's avatar

Raven, do you know where your eating at?

Josh, I found out that the skyscraper rides aren't BOGO on Saturdays. But, there only $10 to begin with. So, it's a pretty good deal. Except that they won't let you do any flipping of your own. I'd get those things going pretty crazy if they let me. I can meet you at 8 at the Scraper if you like. I'll PM you my Cell.
