Alright for those who are interested there are now rates available to participants of Coastermania.
Hotel Breakers & Breakers Express are parts of the packages. Hotel Breakers, one room, 2 adults, 2 tickets, 2 nights = $500 + (after tax)
Breakers Express - one room, 2 queen beds, 2nights, no tickets = $202 (after tax)
I have enjoyed staying at Breakers Express in the past, but I guess I will just stay at the Microtel on Rye Beach Road. I think that CF is asking a little too much to stay at their properties.

Breakers Express != Hotel Breakers.
Indeed.. You are attacked by slightly less Mayflies at Breakers Express. :)

Or you could rough it at Bayshore Estates Camprground. My brother and I have stayed
there the last two years and had a great time! :)

I usually go cheap but not TOO cheap. Motel 6 and some of the others have worked well in the past. There were a few that wasn't so great either, like the Rodeway! Yikes!

Bayshore estates is now a K.O.A.
I have not checked yet, but I am sure the rates have gone up quite a bit as K.O.A seems to cost more than other campgrounds.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
The Breakers Express deal was great and we used it last year and will this year. Hey, I am only going to be in that room to sleep. May spend a few hours at the pool but the express deal is really worth it...We have platinum passes so that was a really sweet deal for the price.
I still don't understand only being in a room to sleep. Call me jaded since I live so close, so when I'm staying up there, I prefer to lounge around a bit - then again I do the same thing at Disney, since when I take a vacation, I like it to actually be a vacation.
Call me old, a stick in the mud, whatever but that's how I am. I can't do the "riderideriderideriderideride" thing anymore.
I was at the one when Toomer talked in, uh...97 I think? Is that even possible? Good lord.
Anyway it was boring as can be. Maybe because I was in my early teens at the time, but I'm thinking it was just boring. The only good part was when some guy with a recent engineering degree asked him what he should do to break into the industry and he was like "Uh...yeah, find a different industry."
No, I was there too, as a "grown up," and it bored me to tears as well. I think it was '99 though. But you know, he is an important figure from the angle that Magnum was built on his watch at Arrow.

For some reason I was thinking that it was before Power Tower was built, but I think you're right. It was whatever year they also had night ERT on Mean Streak when it was actually running relatively fast which didn't really make it much more fun but a whole lot more terrifying. Felt like stuffing yourself in a cardboard box and getting shoved down 150ft. flight of stairs.

If you don't have a season pass this works out to be about $178 a night for Hotel Breakers. Even at that price it still seems like a lot of money for that hotel! It's a nice weekend though, still debating if we are going or not. Will probably wait until after we get back from the honeymoon to decide.
I did the lighthouse point cabins last year which worked out for us.. Mostly because we had about 6 people (which fit in there comfortably enough - and reminded me of college all over again). But in doing so it brought the per person/couple price down enough to be worth it, about $80 or so a night.
We were all on different schedules of being in and out of the park so it made it really convenient to be able to walk back and fourth when we wanted to, and not bother any other group in room. Like most of the peeps in this forum, I just cant stay in a park all day.. I needs me sleep..

You are not the only one, hun. :) Whenever I am on any kind of "vacation" all I want to do is sleep, lounge around in a pool or jacuzzi, take a coaster ride or two, eat a lot of food, drink a lot of beer and soda, and see the local sights. :) I don't give a crap about power riding or credit whoring like I did 10 years ago. I just like to chill and do what I want. :) That is what I will do at Coastermania. Since it's two days I am going to take my time without any worries. :)
In other words I totally understand where you are coming from. :)

I knew you would, Tina. I just knew it. :)
Speaking of... I just got my info packet, luggage tags and magical express passes in the mail today. Coronado Springs is a month away, and I couldn't be happier.
edit: yes I could..If I was there now.
I can't do the non-stop riding open 'til close thing like I used to either. But I can definitely ride something that I enjoy for hours at a time.
