It'll be in the main lot. The walking never hurt anybody.

"Walking never hurt anybody"?

You've seen some of the people at theses events, right?

:)

^^Would it stand to reason that if you can fit on MF and TTD then you're not at a serious risk for walking a half-mile??

true, get some exercise and get some laps in.

A few questions.... I assume we just register at the main gate. Is there a certain time on Friday that we need to be there by? Or can we just show up anytime.

Also.... the site says we can bring one guest whom is not a member of a coaster club. I take it the guest gets into everything the members do.... Is there any cost for the guest when they have a season pass?

Thanks.

If they have a season pass, there should not be a charge.

I called about what gate we can go to regester at, and the lady said the main gate and the resort gate(I assume it is the gate near camper village/ soak city).

Other than that, there really has not been much info on the event other than the scheduale.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I just booked a campsite Friday & Saturday nights. I had trouble justifying $100 or more for 4 hours of sleep. We are just going do sleeping bags in the back of the van. I know that we could have done this in a WalMart parking lot, but I figured I would do you all a favor and grab a shower before the Saturday ERT :)

I'm in your boat with the not paying for a hotel room for basically a long nap. The van sounds convenient, but given the room in my civic, I'm digging out the tent. You staying at the KOA/Bayshores too?

Just one more day.

I can hardly wait.

Unfortunately, I will only be going to friday's festivities.

I, too, like some of you in this thread, could not justify $100+ for like a 6-hour nap. So I decided to come friday, to the social hour and convention gig, and Friday nite's ERT for Maggie and Maverick.

I still look very forward to it, despite only going for part of it. There's always BooBuzz, as well as CM next year. :-)

I hate to be a voice of dissention again, but if you’re getting your hotel for two nights, wouldn’t having access to it the entire day on Saturday (which from ERT to ERT will be one long day!) make up for the lost value from limited use on Friday “night”??

^That is what the lounge chairs at Soak City are for. :)

We are doing the Cabins at Light House point again, but with the tailgate/frat house we turned ours into last year, well the 30+ year old version anyways, the per person rate was very low :)

That sounds like fun, but I will have my 12 year old daughter with me. I don't think she needs that kind of education yet. ;)

I wouldnt think of not having a hotel booked for CM! Hubby and I take advantage of it between the fun and sneak in a nap and shower before heading back to park for the evening festivities :)

We don't stay in a very expensive hotel just one that is clean and close to the park.

This will be my 10th CoasterMania and I have never ever had a bad time! Saturday I will be sporting a CoasterMania '09 t-shirt and the Raptor crew will have CoasterMania buttons that I made for them!! :)

C ya there! :)

^ Clean, not very expensive and close to the park. Which one would that be? From what I have seen and read that combination does not exist.

Just avoid the biker colors.

Sorry Tambo.

Call back from another thread. Was interjecting dry humor into LuvRaptors attire description.

^^^^I've had great success with the Econo Lodge on Cleveland Rd right before Cedar Point Drive. Close to CP, very reasonable rates, and really clean (albeit older) rooms. As for the long nap comments, who's really showing up to start riding MF at 6am if you were up til midnight the night before? I must not be a true enthusiast since I was thinking about coming in around 7am so that when TTD opens, I can take advantage of the hopefully shorter lines for MF. :-)

7 AM? You're a bigger man than I. I'd probably skip morning ERT altogether. You'd see me rolling in about 10 or 11 :)\.

Some winter, a cabal of enthusiasts, vacationers, and in general people of good taste (perhaps the same ones who will conduct the Flying Eagles Liberation Operation) needs to go through the city of Sandusky with torches, pitchforks, bulldozers, and dynamite and *demolish* most of the hotels up there. Seriously; the owners all give the excuse that they can't justify renovating properties that are seasonal, never mind that in-season they rent the rooms for ridiculous prices every single night. It is easy to find a horrible hotel room in Sandusky and spend $100 a night for it. It's ridiculous. I'm so happy that I usually can go home each night.
