However, last year, I began to realize that the name sounded really childish and belonged to the past. So, given my allegiance to Nitro at SFGAdv, all my SNs, including this one, changed to involve the word Nitro. A few people had become accustomed to calling me "Nitro Dave" (David, obviously, being my first name) so it seemed like the obvious choice for a new SN.
(But in retrospect...I think the men understand where I'm coming from when I say: the things we do for women!)

Plus, I figure it makes me sound like a viking.
Anyway she always referred to anyone who either didn't have a name or couldn't come up with it in time as "Homey G". As in, "Look at Homey G over there running his sprinklers in the rain!"
Not that Homey G has to refer to someone doing something stupid, but then again, it generally fits me, so I took it upon myself.
I also didn't want a coasteresque nickname, so since it's not, it's used on other message boards as well.. no mess.
