CoasterBuzz Screen names

I was on a coaster somewhere - I can't remember which one - but it was one that rolled out of the station with a lot of gravity. You know the type that the train is running faster than the loose chain, and as the chain dog engages and the train looses speed on the lift, it jerks hard. At that point, I thought it's a good thing that the chain dog is there, or we'd just end up sitting there looking up, stuck on the anti-rollbacks. That makes the chain dog a damn important part of the ride. So, I thought it was as good a screen name as any. *** Edited 4/1/2004 11:52:14 PM UTC by Chaindog***

To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them".

Back in the mid-90's I came up with rollocoast after trying to think of something fairly original that wasn't specific to one ride. It's just sorta stuck with me ever since.

The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch

Back in the day, I was Davie the Luv Monkey. That was when I was a clumsy and immature high school kid who was seeking attention, particularly from the opposite sex. As it turns out, one day during sophomore year, I got the impression (mistakenly, it turns out) that a rather attractive young woman was giving me the eye. So one day I walked into gym class and she saw me, screamed out, "Davie the Luv Monkey!!" and ran up to me. The moniker stuck, eventually becoming my e-mail address, AIM screen name, and CB screen name.

However, last year, I began to realize that the name sounded really childish and belonged to the past. So, given my allegiance to Nitro at SFGAdv, all my SNs, including this one, changed to involve the word Nitro. A few people had become accustomed to calling me "Nitro Dave" (David, obviously, being my first name) so it seemed like the obvious choice for a new SN.

(But in retrospect...I think the men understand where I'm coming from when I say: the things we do for women!)

So, anyway, there was this guy in my high school with the last name Rossol. Played basketball. One night after a game, my friend stole the line-up of players' names off the scoreboard and began spelling out different variations of "Rossol 54" in his locker every day. One day, he spelled out "Olsor 54." And it stuck in my brain forever...

Plus, I figure it makes me sound like a viking.

Mine is what I am.

"God made the heaven and the Earth, but the Dutch made Holland"

Sadly, I have to attribute mine to a girlfriend of OLD. Not this last one, or the one before that, or.. well a long time ago.

Anyway she always referred to anyone who either didn't have a name or couldn't come up with it in time as "Homey G". As in, "Look at Homey G over there running his sprinklers in the rain!"

Not that Homey G has to refer to someone doing something stupid, but then again, it generally fits me, so I took it upon myself.

I also didn't want a coasteresque nickname, so since it's not, it's used on other message boards as well.. no mess.

Brian, who IS a Virgo and can get confrontational. :)

I guess mine is pretty self explanatory..
Well mine is the name people use to make fun of me with. I love zoo's (hence why I work at one) and for some odd reason people made fun of me for it. So instead of calling me Nate they tried using newt in a derogatory fashion to me. Well I actually thought it was a cool nickname. So all my screen names has newt somewhere in it! Granted I haven't seen any of those people for at least two years now. But I don't care. Newt fits me fine. Not as interesting a story as Moosh! But hey it works for me!

I chose my screenname to be "The Beast" because it's my favoirte #1 wooden coaster at Kings Islands.
Obviously mine is for Zingo, Bell's Amusement Park's main attraction. It's the coaster in the movie TEX. I discovered message boards because of coasterbuzz a little more than a year ago, and had no idea how much is read into a screen name. If I had to choose again, I would choose ScottMoore, or Hessel, my middle name.

Ummm...not too much to say for me. AC was my first hyper and will always be my sentimental favorite, even if it's been surpassed in actual quality many times. I still haven't gotten down to ride it again since I first rode it in 2000. Oh well, there's always next year...

This is my AOL Screen name and I used it for CoasterBuzz!
Mike is my name Mir is the first three letters in my last name and 17 is my favorite number.

Mine screen name comes from what one does when riding inverted coasters like Raptor or Batman. When one is upside down, one is "kicking the sky". KicksTheSky was already taken so I had to take the shortened KickTheSky. As a side note I actually ran into KicksTheSky at CP a couple years ago for all of about a minute.

I use kickS the sky in everything else including my email address and even my license plate which is KIXDSKY.

Certain victory.

I am not really sure where I came up with my CBUZZ name. I think I heard it once and liked it. In any case, it must have been something that grew on me enough to choose it as my CBUZZ name.
