Contrary to popular belief, I am not missing an eye, I do not have a glass eye, and I am not blind in one eye. In fact, I have perfect eye sight in both, and do not wear glasses or contacts.

A few years ago when I was at work, there was a gang of us that would play penny-ante poker at lunch time. Penny-ante can really add up, and there were days I walked out of there with $40 just from card playing. There rules were that whoever was the dealer of the hand would decide the game. A guy by the name of Jim liked to make One-Eyed-Jacks (2 of the 4) wild. It seemed like every time he would pick that game, I would win the hand. So I was called One-Eyed Jack, and the name kind of stuck. In the early 80's when I would call BBS's (way before the internet) and in the CB days, I was the Digital Demon, but since my old buddy Digital Daredevil was already registered on here, I didnt want to generate needless confusion.

Scotty

About 3 years ago, on a particularly long trip to Kansas to visit my wife's parents, we were very bored (as I'm sure you could imagine one might become on a long 12 hour drive through Iowa and Kansas.) We remembered that we had some friends who would talk to each other in kind of funny voices, and pick on each other. So, somewhere in the middle of Iowa, we decided to do that. Anyway, I decided to start calling my wife "dudie." She thought it was hilarious. Then, she asked me what my name was. I said "du8die." But, it has a silent 8 in it. I mean, how do you pronounce an 8 in the middle of a word? So, I became known as du8die with the silent 8.

Some of the screen names here are really cool! Mine came about when I first got online about 3 1/2 years ago. I'm really into The 3 Stooges, hence "Stooge", I'm a guy, hence the world "man" and my favorite stooge is "Moe". When I worked as a welder at my old job making blower wheels for industrial fans, everyone knew I like the Stooges, so they nicknamed me " Stoogie". It has kinda stuck for a while now.

My Beautiful wife, Julia, is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

Chernabog is the lord of the underworld and night in Slavic mythology. I am not Slavic, nor a big fan of Slavic mythology, however. I am just a fan of having minions and harpies to do my evil bidding, as Chernabog does in Disney's Fantasia -- A Night on Bald Mountain.

Positions for minions and harpies are filling fast, but if you contact me quickly and I like you, I may just waive the application fee.

Hmmm, let's try to figure out the origin of my screen name...

1) I'm originally from Michigan

2) I'm became an airtime junkie (not to be confused with a rail junkie) officially at the 1998 Spring Con :)

3) I needed something more spicy than "Scott"

Maddie, I don't want to be a minion or a harpy, but can I audition for a sprite? ;)

Rob - you can call me Cerberus

Mine comes from the artist M.C. Escher. Since that one is often taken when I join an online community, I use my old Hockey number "26" when I can't get just plain Escher.

Mine is what most people call me, and NO, I don't like the Funky Bunch!

SOB's biggest fanboy!
My name explains itself. I was one of the few that liked the Drachen Fire.

Mine is just what I happened to pick the first time I had to pick my own username (instead of being assigned one, as normally happens. Odd thing about that...my gcfn.org username is actually misspelled!)

First place I picked a username was CP Place.

(well, not counting the local BBS days, but that's another story...)

xrae has been has been my screen name since I first started doing IRC chats back in '94 or '95. My name is Rae and I was under the gun to pick something. I thought xrae sounded cool. And there ya have it. It's the name I'm known by on nearly every site I'm registered for on the 'net.

I gotta say, though ... I just Googled myself, and I am *not* the xrae that writes x-rated X-Files fan fic!! I'm more of a Babylon 5 girl. *** Edited 4/4/2004 3:56:25 AM UTC by xrae***

Mine's a funny little word play. My name is Joan. Like Joan of Arc. Only, JonahVark. Ha ha. Clever clever.

Only if I can record the audition and put it on the internet.

I have to decide if Sprites are too uppity for my image. I mean, after all, I'm so dark and brooding. Really, look at me brood. I'm doing it now.

Okay, so I'm not fooling anyone. My screenname should be, like, Rainbow Brite or something.

That's probably right...

Actually, I was assuming you might be doing My little Pony impressions after your late night studying. ;)

Skittlebrau comes from a Simpson's episode.

Homer asks Apu if he sells that beer with the candies floating in it ("you know... Skittlebrau").
Apu tells Homer it doesn't exist and he must have dreamed it, so Homer just buys a 6-pack of Duff.

And a package of Skittles.

I just liked the word - It rolls off the tongue. And it is rather tasty.

Both of mine are pretty obvious: CP for Cedar Point, and Lady. The one I use for AIM and GTTP is OldCper, because I've been going to Cedar Point since 1966.

My initials are CP, so I thought it'd be funny to be "The Real CP". When I was a kid, I'd thought that the CP on the ferris wheel was there for me!
