Cedar Point has posted a video teasing Rougarou, which is apparently the Mantis roller coaster converted from a stand-up to a floorless.
I disagree. CP lacks a signature wooden coaster. They have a classic but no modern signature.
The "Boardwalk Project" should give us a modern wooden (racing?) coaster, and an interactive dark ride. Give CP a couple more years...
I guess I'm thinking of it more in terms of overall experience and the number of quality rides rather than a checklist of ride types. When I'm there, I'm not yearning for a nice wood experience (and yes that was a softball line--feel free to swing away). Would it be nice if they had a signature woodie? Sure, but I have a hard time describing their coaster collection as "lacking." If we only mean that a good wooden coaster is simply not present then fine, but if the implication is that their lineup is less than adequate because of that, well, I just don't feel that way.
Alright, I'm done being annoying.

No worries Bakeman. When it comes to CP, my greed tends toward "I wish it was more like it used to was." Like, put back the original Shoot the Rapids (disclaimer: never ridden Maverick. It's been a while.)
Rougarou: TCFKABSKAM looks like a solid move FWIW.
I'm far from a CP hater, and Rou fixes the one glaring issue with the parks coasters, but I feel they have less quality and more quantity. I do feel that the overall quality is brought down by lack of a good modern wooden coaster. I think the park did a lot by getting rid of DT, and I didn't really bemoan the loss of Wildcat, though they could have used another intermediate coaster like an MS spinner or a mouse.
So I do think there are a couple things that make it not quite perfect. But it's not far off.
Hambone, I got as far into the acronym as TCFKAB (The Coaster Formerly Known As Banshee), but I'm lost on the SKAM (although I presume the M stands for Mantis).
Edit: Ooh, wait! Is it The Coaster First Known As Banshee, Subsequently Known As Mantis?
13 Boomerang, 9 SLC, and 8 B-TR clones
I coined Bantirou yesterday, but Rutabaga has a nice ring to it.
And I more or less agree with Tek regarding CP's coaster collection. Especially now that Iron Dragon has a higher height requirement, they really need a spinning mouse or Vekoma suspended family coaster to bridge the gap.
And I'm not exactly sure where you'd squeeze in a modern style woodie without removing Mean Streak*, but I agree the experience would offer more variety and feel more complete. (I'm talking more along the lines of Ravine Flyer II and Prowler, as opposed to Outlaw Run and El Toro, but honestly I'd be happy with any of those.)
*which they need to keep around for the RMC conversion ;)
Bryan - once you ride the Chance version of the Vekoma family suspended coaster, you'll never ask for another Runaway Reptar ever again....
CP could use a spinner though...maybe a double like DAK has (since I'm one of the capacity whores, apparently).

I haven't ridden the Chance version and I already don't ask for another Runaway Reptar.
I can't take credit for the name SITMAN (that honor goes to Mike B.) but I can at least take credit for this:
Actually, Bryan, that was me as well (clearly I don't have enough work to do):
