I can think of lots of other rides that when announced by Cedar Point would make a splash in the industry and would involve breaking/making records.
Well, I would not assume it is a coaster, either. Coaster or not, many companies are left... Huss, Chance, Mack, Gerstlauer, Maurer Sohne, Intamin, Vekoma, GG and a few others...
My guess? It will not be a coaster, everyone will be disappointed, and they played all of us, for months. :)

(some years ago I read that Cedar Fair uses a 13-year depreciation schedule for their rides. Guess how old M:TCFKAB is this year...)

I got this same press kit today... I've never seen them tease an announcement before (to the media, at least). The level of detail is much more like what we got for Diamondback from KI than we got for Maverick from CP.

I went to the park tonight before heading to the hotel. I got a picture of the White Lightening jug on the Polecat Pickers wagon. It was dusk and I didn't know what I was looking for until we passed it. This photo was the best I could to tonight.
