the Dive Machines hold the same number of people as Dragster's trains, don't they?

Anyone else happen to notice the counter on the promo vid that starts around the 1:40 mark (watch the upper right hand corner). From launch to brakes TTD will last a whopping 16 seconds. Hmm...

Even more interesting... 16th coaster.. 16 seconds. *** This post was edited by CoasterBearVa on 1/10/2003. ***

Too bad they didn't recycle the idea of a glass and chrome station from the xcelerator press release (it was decribed and shown) You guys in the midwest would be jumping even higher for joy.
CoasterBear, don't you think that the other elements of the ride make up for it's length? I mean if your not satisfied with 420 feet and 120 MPH then I don't know what to say.

I dont remember which channel it was but one of the news channels here in Ohio did a poll on TTD. You could pick from 3 answers. I dont remember what all 3 were but I do remember that one was Horrified....and that got 59% of the votes. :)

The B&M Dive Machine trains hold 16 people, in 2 cars 8-across. Really cool looking, actually.

WOW! This is the most daring thing that i have ever seen a park do. With the 6 train ride capacity i think this ride will be stacking city! And those trains are insane looking with the whole dragster theme. I cant wait till may!

With no word from Worlds of Adventure on a new ride for 2003, I'm really curious as to how worried they are.

The year of MF, they had the big expansion, and plenty to advertise. While I'd like to see some better care given to the park, this wouldn't be something they could advertise.

Holy lord...some of the comments on Slashdot are ridiculous. I thought this was largely a "techie" forum-I would expect more brain power out of such people.

Are you kidding? You'll not read any more irrational Microsoft hate and open source worship anywhere else in the world. I don't think the people with brains post there much.

Go Tigers

So are there actual pictures of trains or just that one drawing???

The Beast, at night, Nothing better.

Just the drawings. I don't think the trains have been delievered yet or if they're even done being made.

Actually, those would be computer renderings of the trains.

looks like it's already someone's number 1 coaster:

I can't hardly wait! I'm going in either July or Augest. I going to try to get my up my father and brother up early so we can get to the park before they open and wait. I will def ride this ride first!

Will this be it thought? I thought it will have a least some turns like Xcelerator. Oh well, It will still be awesome!

Xcellerator: bigger, taller, no turns

It would be nice to see a full length rocket coaster, or at least one that's over a minute long.

This is the first time I've actually seen everyone excited about train stacking... Ouch!

Am I really that shy?

Its only gonna be as follows: launch, tophat, brakes. It would have been cool if it could have an overbanked turn or two, but it still will rock my world! 120 is the fastest ever, and 420 is the tallest ever, making it record braking -- Cedar Point has done it again! *** This post was edited by GraffMan on 1/10/2003. ***
It will still be a great ride though.
