From the official Cedar Point site:
The legend and lore of mysterious creatures living beneath the surface of Lake Erie comes to life with Siren's Curse, North America’s TALLEST, LONGEST & FASTEST tilt coaster.
Often spoken of – but never spotted, the sirens of the lake who lured sailors to their underwater demise with their sweet, seductive songs will finally rise to the land above Cedar Point and attempt to entrap you in a sinister two-minute fate of non-stop roller coaster innovation.
The roller coaster will be 160 feet tall and reach a speed of 58 mph.
I trust that it is, but just to clarify it's less of a "ground is hard" issue and moreso that when water in the ground freezes it expands so if footers are placed on frozen ground, once the ice melts it settles unevenly.
I've had two different people say something about how "Fall in Tennessee is pretty nice here in Michigan."
I know a couple people who run lawn/snow businesses. They used to count on twelve or so pushes each winter. This year they are budgeting for three, and even that might be optimistic.
RCMAC:
Distressingly, the weather on Earth continues to be unseasonably warm
Fixed that for you further
hambone:
"Distressingly, the weather on Earth continues to be unseasonably warm", Billy muttered, the sweat dripping from his brow. As he reached up to wipe it away he caught a glimpse of her as she turned her back and walked away. She would never understand, he thought to himself. With renewed passion he gripped the reins of the mechanical bull and swiftly pulled himself on top of the beast.
And further...

The park recently released a POV video. Looks fun. Very twisty. Hopefully no shimmy.

Hasn't been an unseasonably warm winter so far. In early January, Cedar Point had one of its webcams showing the Siren's Curse curse construction site. It was only showing that for a very brief period of time. But when it was you could see the lift tower structure was in place and several other footers had been poured. So presumably they got that done before the bitter cold temps set in. And so far, any snow removal services with season contracts are earning their keep.
This has been the coldest/snowiest winter we have had in NE Ohio in quite awhile. Most of January has just been brutal cold until this week. As true as that is, we are still about 10 inches behind average snowfall, which shows you how rare it's been lately. Even a little seems like a lot.
Of course 50 degrees on Sunday.
O.H.!

After viewing the POV, I think it looks fantastic after the gimmick.

The POV looks fast. However, if it is the true speed of the ride, it may beat out Maverick for many people.
Counting down the days until I'm back at Cedar Point, the one and only place to be.
My general indifference toward the tilt coaster is mostly due to the fact that the previous installations don't do much after the tilt feature. This ride looks like the main feature might possibly be somewhat forgettable.
In other news, Cedar Point "anticipates" that Top Thrill 2 will reopen this summer.
I actually find this to be a bit alarming. Without having followed the issue much at all, I've taken it for granted that it would be open this year, with Zamperla having an entire offseason to figure out what the problem is and how to fix it. We're not talking about repairing the Hubble Space Telescope mid-orbit, after all. So to hear even a hint of hedging by the park is not a positive sign.

If I were them I wouldn’t be promising anything like that. It just sets up frustrated customers when it doesn’t come true. Same with Kennywood ensuring people that Steel Curtain will open in 2025. Cedar Point nor Kennywood can be certain that the modifications will work. Soft open… then pick your opening date.
