From the concept art I don't see many places where there could be brakes.....well at least not in the first part of the ride.

Does anyone know of an Intamin coaster with trim-brakes? *** Edited 9/4/2006 1:28:02 AM UTC by DantheCoasterman***

Yea, I find it ironic as well, especially since everyone got on me for using chat short hand, when I didn't. But i'm not worried about it at all. You obviously can't get passed the fact that i'm right this time. You'll bring up the grammer issues from a while ago, but it doesn't matter, i'm surprised at the time I was able to reply. And yes, I may not be the english major, but i know my french.

And as for me showing my intellegence, I put in my thoughts about most subjects. I could careless about being right, or acting like i'm the person who knows all. But if that's your take on it, then well, I could see why you're attacking me. Since ya'll were those who've been on the board and then some guy comes out of no where and takes the spotlight. i'll back out, since you wanna whine about it.

And if you hate what I write, ignore my post, It's not my fault you read my post. I thought you were pros at this forum stuff. Don't even reply to this, grow up, move on.

And to keep this post on topic....

I can't wait to ride this ride. :-)

Why should anyone admit that you're right when there's an obvious consensus that you're wrong?

Oh, and it's nice to see that CP Planning & Development took my advice... ;)

Can we talk about the coaster and not each others intellegence, please? PLEASE?
How do you think the capacity will be with this ride...of course, knowing this is Cedar Point, it's going to be a relatively quick people churner, but I don't see that many block points on the ride and if the rumors of the three-car trains are true.....
sixflags is workin on a 500 footer, and cedar point puts in a 107 foot train ride!

everybody wang chung tonight!
Only a couple more days until the official announcement. I've been quiet until now. And I know this doesn't pertain to everyone, but to all those who this pertains to, I must say it, yes, I must say it, whether it offends you or not, "COME NOW, CHILDREN!" LOL *** Edited 9/4/2006 2:33:59 AM UTC by Bob Sekerak***
How do you know Six Flags is working on the 500? It's obviously somebody is, but I thought it'd be CP. Some random Cader Fair park should have it. Or even a back water family park pull out the 500 footer. "Jones Family Petting Zoo Unleashes new 500 foot tall roller coaster."

TCKR- Same instance as the presidential elections. The popular vote isn't always the best choice.

But it all depends on how long the ride is. I would say probably 90 seconds or less, but it depends on the first half. But with the cars being this small, I can see the double loading platform approach, which could help pumped out over 1000 per hour. But we al know that, even though statistics claim that many, it's usually half that. *** Edited 9/4/2006 2:40:06 AM UTC by BANDandDCI***

SF working on a 500 footer....yeah right! No one is working on a 500 footer. Give me one realistic scenerio where that would be true for anyone at this point in time. *** Edited 9/4/2006 2:36:02 AM UTC by Peabody***

What? What is probably 90 seconds or less?

I finally remember why I stopped posting on this site a year or so ago... because all people do is b!tch at eachother trying to make sure there's plenty of room for their egos.

BANDandDCI... I could care less about how smart you are, that's wonderful you have great GRAMMAR (not 'grammer' as how you spelled it). Just like you could care less about finite element analysis to deterime thermal expansion coefficients for carbon reinforced polymers, so I won't bore you with my engineering crap and neither should you bore anyone else with your French BS. By correcting me it doesn't add anything to this discussion, just takes away from it. 'A la' as everyone else has said, is understood... is it correct? Probably not, but it's understood as being 'correct' in our society. Just give it a freaking break... I'm suprised you haven't forfeited the argument anyways since you seem so French obsessed.

Can we finally get back on subject. Cripes.

There's also a difference between "careless" and "care less" but who's keeping score?

Sorry to not let this drop but the issue isn't even that you're right or wrong on the "a la" thing (even though you're clearly wrong) but that you actually think it's appropriate to correct someone else's diction when yours is as bad as anyone elses on this board. Goodness. *** Edited 9/4/2006 3:05:31 AM UTC by matt.***

I bet the new coaster at Cp would take a lot longer than 90 seconds.

I bet it will take about 120 seconds or more.

I agree.

Look at the middle of this picture. Doesn't it seem like that would hurt?

That slight turn at the end of straight track in the opposite direction of the turn that follows is quite common.

That common after a launch at high speeds? Maybe it's just the angle at which the picture was taken, but it looks like an unusually sharp transition.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!
SMROS at SFDL has a trim-brake
Whatever, I never said my grammar and english was perfect. And i'm just tired of these stupid arguments. But you can continue to think i'm wrong, it is helps you sleep at night.

The ride time is pretty fast. I mean, dropping vertical pics up some speed, and it may take about 45 to 60 seconds to do that first part, then after the launch it'll be about 30 seconds. So maybe it will be about 120 when you add on the lift time. I'm just ready for next year so workers get firrst dibs.

SFNE's has a trim right before the final bunny hops, as well.
Who'd've thunk it was the offseason already?
