BooBuzz 2007 at Cedar Point

Wow...WOW. Thanks to you guys for such a quick response! If either lumpy72 or joe want to confirm with me that they will let my brother and I on as their two guests, we will gladly reimburse them for their parking fee. (Or if you have a season parking pass, consider it a $10 gratuity.) I just want to make sure we have confirmed slots, since I'm flying in for the event. Thanks for understanding.

And also, I am extremely excited to become part of the CB family. I've had quite a bit of fun reading the forums around here...it's gonna be great to join in.

Have a great week, everyone!

P.S. Weather for Saturday looks iffy... but it'll be a good time anyway.

Myke, you've got my guest spots. CB events are a blast. Welcome aboard.
Thanks so much, Joe! (and thanks to lumpy72 as well for being willing to do the same!) I'll PM you so we can figure out the details. I am super-excited and extremely thankful (and so is my brother - just called him and told him the good news!) Thanks again! *** Edited 10/16/2007 3:04:05 PM UTC by Myke*** *** Edited 10/16/2007 3:07:37 PM UTC by Myke***

Keep in mind though that I'm pretty sure you'll have to go in through the front gate, as this is even pre-resort guest entry time.

I guess that answers the question of what we will be doing between the time we get in (9:30) and the time Maverick and Skyhawk open for us (10:00). We'll be walking to the back.

Right now it looks like it will be around 60 degrees and possibly rainy.

No hot ladies Joe?

Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

I finally got my hotel booked and me and my lady will be there I can't wait.

Its sad when your best friend asks you the exact running time of a ride. Good thing I didnt know.

Well, I am missing another CBuzz event, what else is new? However I WILL be at CP with the family on Sunday. Any of you nuts hanging around an extra day or are you all bugging out of town? I checked the Meeting Calendar and only 3 people have even mentioned going to BooBuzz and nobody on the 21st but me, just curious.

I'll be there. I'll probably get my pass vouchers for next year too. Anyone know if the Cedar Fair VIP jackets came in yet?

Stupid not getting sleep before leaving for this event... *grumble*
Hope you are all having fun there right now. I've kept the kids in the dark so far, they have no clue that they are going tomorrow. We're getting there early so save some pancakes...no wait...forget it...

In-freakin'-sane crowds. I haven't seen a day like that first hand in a long time. Glad we got our big riding in the morning.

I'll second that. I left after our tour of the costume shop. Stopped at the Season pass office to get my 08 pass and pick up my jacket (yes, they're finally in).

Took me nearly 30 minutes just to get out of the parking lot. I took the chausee out or it would have taken longer.

Thanks to Jeff and Cedar Point for another great event. Great ERT session this morning. Great weather.

Actyualy once you got past the Toll, it was wide open with no traffic. I think they were holding back the exiting patrons to allow the incoming traffic to flow better. The traffic coming in over the bridge was rediculous.

Well, good that Cedar Point is getting some good crowds after the loss of attendence.
The guys at the bar at TGIFridays on Friday night said that they'd set an attendance record for the season *that day* and they had 55,000 cars with some people parking in the grass. I'm not saying that TGIFridays employees are any more reliable than the Dippin Dots guy or the Lemon Chill guy or Wikipedia or anything... just passin on the rumor :)

But based on the 2 mile backup I saw on OH 4 between OH 2 and the turnpike, I'd almost believe it.

I actually left really early because I'm getting over a cold/flu and didn't want to find out just how bad the combo of DayQuil and Raptor could get. :) (I might have skipped the whole event had I not been in central Ohio the day before for something else.) Millennium Force and Maverick went fine -- too bad my first ever ride on Maverick was taken doped up. But hey, I give Maverick a win anyway, A+++ would ride again etc...

For those that didn't wuss out like I did, did they ever start launching Dragster trains with more than 6 passengers? I figured they were trying to keep the weight down to prevent rollbacks in the insane wind we had...

I heard they hit 60,000 guests by 4:00pm which was a record for them.

^^Yes on dragster. I saw several go with only the last row empty. I wouldn't doubt the train was filled at some point. I just didn't see it.
