BooBuzz 2007 at Cedar Point

I'm hoping to do BooBuzz this time, and probably bring a friend from OSU. I live in Columbus now, so a hotel won't be necessary.

Jeff, I have a question. If you have tickets that came with your Hotel package do you get in for the $15 season pass rate or do you have to pay the $46. As I already have 4 tickets from the 2 rooms I booked already...

Last year I had hotel tickets and just paid the season pass rate. I'm sure the same applies this year.

Hey... I'm bumping out the BooBuzz this year... I will look forward to attempt again next year but I will definite consider going to CoasterMania @ Cedar Point and Holiwood Night @ Holiday World.

Yep, if you have your own means of entry, that's the case.

Keep in mind though that I'm pretty sure you'll have to go in through the front gate, as this is even pre-resort guest entry time.

I do not want to answer for him, but I do not think that Jeff has anything to do with the planning, scheduling, or hosting of Coastermania.

And it is traditionally the first Friday in June, which would put the next CoasterMania on Friday, June 6, 2008.

Last year it was two weeks later than usual to line up with the start of the ACE convention at Kings Island on 6/17, and three years ago it was in September, since the ACE con was at Cedar Point in June.

Other than those two exceptions, it's always been the first Friday in June.

I have nothing to do with CoasterMania. That's a park sponsored event.

I will be attending with two lovely ladies. I know Joe C will be attending with us as well. Not sure if he will have a guest or two though.

123 hours til I arrive at CP. Maverick here I come. Can't wait for ERT. Will the group be larger than the one at Holiday World? I will be staying at Sandcastle due to the fact we are closing Friday Night with a MF ride right at midnight and then need to drag myself and others up to get to Maverick ERT...

I don't know right now about this one. I have to work from 6:45 to 2:45 on Saturday, but I'm looking to switch shifts with someone right now, although I'm not sure who would really be wanting to work that kind of a shift... blech.

I had a lot of fun at last year's event, and I hope I can make it to this one.

Okay, everyone... I've got an issue.

I am flying into Ohio later this week to visit family and I was planning on attending BooBuzz with my brother as one of his 2 allotted CoasterBuzz member guests. But as I was talking to him this morning, I apparently got my facts mixed up, and he is not a current CoasterBuzz member (he was previously, but did not renew subscription). The reason I thought he was is because he went to the Holiday World CB event, which I thought he needed a membership for, but apparently there was a "non-member" price for that. He thought this one would be the same. So yeah.

I'm one of those "CB forum watchers" who reads a lot of stuff on the website but has never joined. I would like to become a member, for the sake of the club and not just for BooBuzz (I probably would have applied for membership EARLIER had I gotten my facts straight, but whatever). BUT...I know that it's a couple-week turnaround between when you fill out the application and when you receive your CB card.

So my question is...is there still any way that my brother and I can gain admittance to BooBuzz? I know that I've screwed up, but I am hoping that there is some possible way to redeem this situation, and have BooBuzz be my first of many CB experiences.

If anyone, ANYONE has any suggestions or comments, they are more than welcomed.

Show up and be guests of the members who show up. I may have a guest spot or two and I am sure there are others that could add a guest or two when they buy their ticket.

Thanks for the offer, lumpy72! I know that we could certainly be guests of a member who shows up, but my brother and I don't know any other CB members, and I don't want anyone to think that I think you are obligated to help. If anyone would be willing to officially "adopt" my brother (Andy) and myself (Mike) as their two guests on Saturday, that would be absolutely appreciated.

P.S. We were planning on being there right at 8:30, so whoever helps us wouldn't have to worry about waiting around for us.

If someone doesn't adopt you two, I will be at the front gate sometime around 9 or so. I would gladly adopt you. I am sure if you ask you will be taking care of, this group is like a family. Sometimes a bickering family, but a family...

I would help you but my son and I already have our 6 spots filled and borrowed 2 more and could use upto 3 more so unfortunately we can't help but I do wish you luck...

I'll probably have both my guest slots open.
