B&M parts at SFOG!

What the heck is PPH?
What is up with the sfog management?,  They asked the person that was posting pictures of the flyer (maybe, hopefully) contruction online to take them off,  It makes me wonder why they are keeping this such a secret (flyer) bc they did not ask to take pictures offline when DejaVu and Acrophobia came out with the construction pics.

PPH = passengers per hour

They're trying to keep it a secret for obvious reasons..  come on, if they came right out from the beginning and announced what it is, all people would really buzz about would be when new construction pics were available.  Parks generate a lot of interest when are kept in the dark.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.

Acrophobia and Deja'Vu were both completed while the park was open and the construction was visible from public areas.  Currently the park is closed and the construction site is not visible unless you are in the park.  While they can't stop you from taking pictures while you are standing where permitted, construction photos after October weren't taken in the "public domain" and the park has every right to expect respect for their wishes.

On another topic, if the vehicles tilt on the lift since they are dangling underneath then the angle of the lift hill will assist the full tilt back via gravity.  Same thing on the brake run, the tilt locks release and gravity will drop down the seats.  This is only conjecture about what's been written to now but seems to make sense.

I disagree, I think that the vehicles will tilt and untilt in the station alone, because they'll need an external source of the power to retract or whatever.  I doubt the trains will carry a hydraulic or pneumatic pump on board.  You'll leave the station in a flying position and enter it in a flying position.
The Batwing trains have the hydraulic/pneumatic systems built into them so I don't see why the B&M version wouldn't be that much different.

the moonsault has come and gone already.(where was that ride at?)

It was located at Fujikyu Highlands in Japan.  A few years ago, there was one at Nagashima Spaland too.

The Vekoma model does have the motor (and PLC's) right on the train. They're powered by an electrical bus that goes the length of the station, the brake run and the lift where they can get power. However, it's no secret that they've yet to do anything position changes outside of the station.

Hey, think of it this way, if you have to stop on the brake run, are you gonna want to sit there for 20 minutes in the prone position?  Hell no, that'd hurt.  You're gonna wanna be in that stand/sit position that the trains move into.

It really wasn't until it got Superman.  This B&M Flyer will put SFOG up there with SFMM, SFGAm, SFGAdv, etc....In fact, I think that SFOG's attendance was in the top 5 of six flags parks this year.  It's about time we got some recognition and our claim to fame.

X-Flight has reclined numerous times on the lift. Just an FYI for ya.

Yeah, I know that they have tilted on the lift hill, but most of the time it's in the station (from what I've read on various websites) due to malfunctions.

I remember one of the X-Flight team members saying that X-F ran with all three trains some mornings for testing.
Is that true?  Is anyone holding hope for X-F to finally run three trains with humans and recline on the lift next year?

Actually Six Flags Great Ad. got the highest attendance of them all...

According to my buddies in Maintence. Our maintence guys at x-f said it should recline on the hill and runn three trains when needed.

The top seven Six Flags Parks of 2000 were (with worldwide rank in parenthesis):

1. SFGAdv (21)
2. SFMM (24-T)
3. SFGAm (38)
4. SFOT (39)
5. SF Mex. (40)
6. SFOG (45)
7. SFFT (50)

Those are attendance figures, not financial.  Just to clear that up.
Also, those are 2000 attendance figures. In some other forum someone posted 2001 attendance figures when the rank of SFoG was asked. It was #5. On another note, SF mexico was not in the top five along with SFoT. SFoT was #6 and SFWOA was #3 or something. Now, that i think of it, SF mexico wasnt even in the top 7.
sorry, but those were the most recent figures that I had.  Anyway, the point is that, especially after this past season ("The Breakthrough Year") and next season ("The Breakout Year"???) SFOG will be one of the premier parks in the country, just as it was in the 70's.
