BeastBuzz 2013: The triumphant return!

Jeff's avatar

That's right folks, one of the most epic events in CoasterBuzz Club history is coming back this year. Save the date: Saturday, August 10.

More details to follow once the park establishes pricing and such.

Did anyone else hear trumpet music when they read the title of the thread?

It would be cool if the keg returned too. Yuengling specifically ;-) I realize in today's day and age, it's not very likely.

I was really looking forward to the day this returned. I'll be on my way back from a family vacation that day. I'll see if I can somehow manage to squeeze it in.

Yay!

But August 10th lands right in the middle of my little guy's football preseason, so we might have to pull some strings on one end or the other.

We'll be there in some capacity.

If there is ERT on Beast at nite and on Diamindback, I'm there. May do an Ohio weekend...

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

This is exciting news! I hope I will be able to make it.

Do I have to specify that it's at Kings Island, or do people generally get that? :)

Sounds great! The 2006 one was a blast and I hope to be able to make it this year as well. That yuengling keg sounds superb.

Lord Gonchar has terrible capacity. :p

I need to see the details, but I just might make it to this one, finally. It's at a park that I visit often anyways, and I love The Beast sooooo much.

Beastbuzz 2003 was my last visit to the park. It's about a 9 hour drive for us. The morning & night ERT on the Beast was worth it by itself. Also got to ride Sonny before the modifications. We should be able to make it.

After all of that beer I may need a place to take a nap! Diamondback will do quite nicely. :)

9 hours from Hershey? It's only around 8 from where I live, and according to the same map site it's an hour less from Hershey.

Depends on how many Waffle House stops one must make...

^(Sniffle) It'll probably be April when I next have my Precious.

I might actually consider going...I'll need to look at details like Krause said, but ERT on Beast after dark reeeallllly appeals to me.

Cool. I'm looking forward to the details also. August is a particularly dry month for events, so I should be able to make it.

^^^^ Vater, It's 9 hours after we make several pit stops for food and gas. ;-)

The talk of Yuengling got my attention. I am so glad OH has it now. WV finally got it in 2009. No more smuggling. ;)

I haven't been to a Beastbuzz in ages. Actually, I haven't been to KI since 2010. I will keep it in mind. I plan on getting a CF pass this year as well.

Last edited by coasterqueenTRN,

I just did something highly unusual for me..made a motel reservation for that weekend this far out. I can always cancel it if need be, but I'd love to go to this event. I've only been to a few events of this sort, so I'll be mostly going in cold (well, it's August, so not TOO cold :)

I know details are forthcoming, but is it usually the case that having a Season Pass reduces out-of-pocket costs for the event?

As far as I know, yes, there will be passholder and regular pricing.

Jeff, That is great news! I am glad to hear that tweet I sent you was true and has come to be real. So will the scavenger hunt be back as well (crossing fingers) with the ERT and other fun?
