BeastBuzz 2013: The triumphant return!

I looked at the ticket purchase site and it says the $19.99 fee is for the season pass meal. I just want to make sure that we have to purchase the $19.99 ticket to attend the event, not just for the picnic (we have a season pass).

If you have a season pass, you pay the $19.99 price.

Jeff, when you say a week out, you mean a week before the event, right? I can purchase my ticket in about a week-and-a-half. Yesterday's Fourth of July party really emptied my bank account. :D

Jeff, since I have two young kids that won't drink Yuengling and are picky as hell about food, am I able to buy meal tickets for just the wife, our eating (but non drinking) kid, and myself? Or do I need to buy a meal ticket for all of us?

Stricker's Grove is open that weekend, correct? If so, I would like to attend Beast Buzz... I would like to carpool if possible. Anybody coming from PA that can help?

Break trims, actually the 2-year-old stole a shiny bottle to drink from his grandpa this past weekend camping. LOL!

If it works like it does for corporate events, you have to present a food ticket to an employee at the beginning of the line and then you are allowed to get food. I'm imagining that it would work the same way. I was just curious if you knew.

By the way, you can bring a non-club member guest now. Bring family and friends... just make sure they have at least the $19.99 ticket and a pass (or the full ticket + meal).

Wow... that's a pretty strong incentive to make a weekend of it!

Tornado and Teddy Bear were two of the hardest-to-get wooden coasters in the country. Weird seeing a couple of complaints about roughness on Teddy Bear lately - when I rode it, it sounded as smooth as any B&M...

It sounded smooth? How did it feel?

Also, they're only difficult to get because of people's own personal scheduling conflicts. I rode them both on my first visit to the park. I have several steel coasters that took me multiple visits to get due to mechanical problems.

Oh, yeah, scheduling is definitely on me.

By "sounded smooth" - I mean the ride was pretty-much perfection on wheels. May not have been intense, but not one jolt, no bounce, no anything other than glass-smooth riding.

edit: The only US wooden coasters that were "harder to get" were the Silverwoodies, NM Rattler, and Rye's Kiddie Coaster. Bell's Zingo was made impossible due to weather (tornado activity to be specific) and later the Tulsa Fair Board. I have yet to miss a wooden coaster due to operations issues...knock on....well, you know...

The woodie at Rye is probably the hardest to get in the US as they only allow adults on very rare occasions during an enthusiast event.

Is there any way to avoid paying the $5.99 processing fee? I've already bought my ticket and now I have to pay an additional processing fee to buy my guest(s) tickets.

Surcharges are just a way to make one think that something is cheaper than it really is at first, then they add more to the price once you decide you are going to go. lol
