Are coasters really your life?

Are coasters realy so much youre life, if they all were dismantled(Markey ahem), would you do something drastic? If so what would you do?

I know that there all I think about, and if they where, Id probaly ride wagons down hills all day for sick enjoyment.

Well, they aren't my entire life, but they play quite a large role. I think about coasters 90% of the time, and the only thing more important to me is my family and friends. If they were all torn down, which really would never occur, I'd probably be depressed, just like if any other large part of your life was suddenly taken away. Of course, I'd try and find other ways to get my "fix", such as bungee jumping, or any other extreme sports.

Coasters are the center of my life. I think about them so much. My future plans all have to do with coasters. If all coasters were torn down, I would either play baseball and ski 24/7 or I would be depressed for multiple years and keep thinking, "What would life be like if there were coasters?"

C'mon guys. If coasters are you lives, then you need a hobby, another one. I get on this site when I'm bored, or at work. Then I go find something else to do.

Sorrrrrrrry folks! Parks closed. The moose out front should have told you.

Diss........Some of our lives are coasters Homey G.

Markey doesn't want to dismantle coasters, he wants G-Force limits. Anyways, if they were all demolished, I'd move to Europe. That would solve the problem for most people if they need coasters.

I would say that coasters(parks really) are probably tied with movies as my favorite and most time consuming hobby. It's definitely after family, friends, religion, and school overall, but really high up for what I like to do for fun. Unless your profession has to do with coasters, I hope they're not your life. Even though I love movies, parks, and coasters, there's still a lot of free time I use away from those with music, sports, TV, swimming, computer imaging and graphics, etc.

I have a wife and two kids and they are my life.

Dito. Some of you guys are just plain sad! I mean really, your life. I have a ton of interests. This happens to be just one.

So many coasters, so little vacation time....

Yeah, well, not really my life, but do you really need to be such jerks about it? Calling people's lives sad. I mean, we take enough crap (me at least) for being coaster enthusiasts, do we need to take crap from fellow enthusiasts. I wanna be an engineer, and probably will, and hope to be in the amusement industry. but I play baseball a lot (made it to state championships, I was starting 2nd baseman, played every inning) and I ski, a lot (made it to Junior Olympics). So, I was exaggerating, but if I could make my life revolve around coasters, I'd exploit that oppurtunity.

That thought itself is just horrid!

But coasters are a big role in my life. They are what i know most about, and they are what I love the most. I do have other interest, but coasters take up a large part of my interest!

So...you can't handle a rollercoaster huh? Well...you ARE the Weakest Link! Goodbye!

As much as I love coasters, my academic school has limited my ability to enjoy them. Today is the first time in a long time that I have been able to post on this site. Back on subject...Coasters are not my life, but when I have 140 minutes of English class I will zone out and dream about coasters. =)

For all of those that complain about those of us whose lives revolve around coasters, worry about your own life. We can like whatever we want for as far of an extent as we want. If you're obsessed with coasters, great. If you're obsessed with Star Trek, I probably won't like you, but still great :). If you're obsessed with anything it's fine, just as long as you're not hurting others or doing anything illegal. And if you've got a problem because we're big fans of something, that's too damn bad. Go pick a fight in real life so you can get the beating you deserve.

I am totally obsessed with coasters. Nothing else is more important to me then coasters other than my family. If coasters were torned down I would probably either ski all time or commit sucicide

Coasters are my pastime, not my life. If they were destroyed, I wouldn't do anything drastic. It would just royally suck!

Yes, coasters are my life. In particular, music, movies, and 'musement parks are my main leisure interests. I'm not going to apologize for my interests, and my life is not sad. Get off the soapbox. :-)
Most defently yes. I dont know what else I would do without riding coasters. Could you imagine what life would be with out riding coasters ;).

Well.... to all those out there that claim coasters are your "life" or for that matter, anyone who loves coasters more than anything else, that's just fine! There is nothing wrong with loving something so much that it hurts your heart to not have it in your life. I, being a drummer, need to play daily, and I really notice it when it is absent. That being said, HomeyG or Rollerfreak aren't dissing you, or accusing you of having worthless lives. They are simply stating the fact (and you know it too, so don't argue;)) that coasters, as important as they are to you via enjoyment or daily ritual, are still... hobbies. A huge hobby, perhaps, but not your life, so........ for all of you taking it way too seriously, relax. An opinion is an opinion. You have yours, and they have theirs. Don't fret. Love the coasters. I do!
