Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes, then you can criticize them and you have their shoes :)
So... SFoT, SFGAdv, SFMM, and SFGAm will all be getting "major" rides next year.
Hmm... sounds good to me!

SFStL had to of had more than 3%... The place has been up to the Rim with people all summer. From what I can tell it has been an excellent year for SFStL. ...but Scooby Doo isn't as High-Profile than a new coaster. I believe new coasters do generate more interest to attend a new park than a Flat. Saying that however, I would not depend on a new coaster to turn a park around $$ wise. They have got to have 'complete' package of sorts - Good concerts, Festivals, and other sorts of Special Events help considerably.

The countdown to gaydays 2003 at Disney and Universal has begun.
I know they mentioned those four parks, but they also mentioned SFWOA as being a "top priority" for the chain. They also mentioned they would reward their performing parks with Cap-Ex. So, the moral is, NEVER BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY! They say what people want to hear.. just like a good salesman. "Oh YES, we can do that!"
I guarantee after their stock tanked and their credit rating was lowered they changed their plans somewhat. Knowing them, they will be shuffling attractions around.

It's interesting that the Nitro novelty wore of in a year while Batman is still very popular.... hmmm
On another note, I guess its easy for us on the outside to cast judgement on Six Flags operations especially when we are spoiled by Busch/Universal/Disney. I love my home park but it has so much potential. I can't wait to get up in the mix and start making some changes!
Its like what was said earlier. Its not always a new ride that brings the people. Right now with the economy the way it is, a major player is the price. Some people can't afford to pay the high prices to get into the parks. More discounts need to be offered in order to get people to the park. Sure new rides help, but they are not the deciding factor in how the attendance will be.
Its not a "build it and they will come slogan" for six flags anymore. Its a "buy one get one free" or a "save with these products" type of slogan that will be the most effective.

Wow, if that's the truth and SFWOA doesn't get the hyper, I would have to say things in Cleveland are going to get ugly, esp if the nonstop tera rumors for Cedar Point continue. On the other said, wasn't it reported that supports for the hyper have arrived?

You silly dude, your'e only food, for the DEMON"
So all the Worlds of Adventure rumors are not true. There is no track, there are no footers, there are just broken dreams of many an enthusiast.
Oh well, more visits to Conneaut I guess :)

I can't believe this isn't getting more attention. This pretty much says SFWOA's hyper is not reality! That's huge news as many enthusiasts were anticipating this ride with many calling it a possible S:ROS clone.
Seems like a pretty reliable article and quote too...

Dorney Park visits in 2002: 15
Nitro's Explosiveness wore off so fast because it was nothing but a coaster. Great Adventure didn't put much into the coaster as they did with Batman. When Batman first came out, there were TV commercials and other advertisements. Then the ride had amazing theming plus a stunt show right next door. Also who could forget the movies? I'm not saying Great Adventure was suppose to make a movie for it or have a show but Nitro doesn't have anything but the ride experience to back it up. Nitro is boring as hell until you get on the ride. Batman you get pumped up by the queuing, the fly-bys and the music. Even the station had it's own storyline unlike NITRO's which is just a set of steel walls and fans.
On thing I don't seem to get about NITRO is it's fast paced line. I was never able to get 6 re-rides on Batman (Even today) but it's easy as hell to get them on NITRO, a year old coaster. Being able to ride the coaster so many times in one season (46) really set a down fall in my views of it being a exciting coaster.
