I recently rode Skyrush and I must say for its age it is rather disappointing of a ride because it has a terrible rattle. I have heard of no complaints about the rattle, yet comparing Furious Baco at Portaventura world, which many have complained online about, Furious Baco's was tolerable, and I had a backrow outboard seat. So the question is do people put up with the rattle? Or do people complain about the restraints enough to forget about the rattle
Counting down the days until I'm back at Cedar Point, the one and only place to be.
Actual photo of Skyrush:
Seriously though, I'm surprised at the sheer volume of opposite impressions of the ride lately. It can't suck and be good at the same time. That's just against the laws of nature.

I call it the Intamin grind. Millie even has a grind. No movement in the structure = rough ride eventually/headache. They don’t have those nice ball joints that B&M uses.
Those type of ‘ball and socket’ joints were first used on Mind Bender and Shock Wave in 1978 (as far as I know). Schwarzkopf said in an interview those were expensive (quality) constructions.
Note the extra roughness in steel structured wood coasters that aren’t taken care of well.
I don't know what that is, but if the track is good shape, and the wheels and springs are good, the ride is smooth. I've never found Millennium Force to be rough. Or "rattley."

Maybe we're defining rattle differently cause Millennium Force rattles and shimmies its way around just like every other Intamin I've ridden minus Pantheon which was glass smooth last time I rode it.
While the new restraints are an improvement, I still think Skyrush sucks because it's "rattley." I also know people who love it.
My theory is that it's because the trains are basically wing coaster trains and the seats outside of the wheel assemblies cause the entire row to oscillate during the ride. This is something that I've encountered on every B&M wing coaster too, but since those layouts are tame compared to Skyrush it's less prominent.
I expressed my preference for basically any other coaster over Rip Ride Rocket by using a greater than symbol and everyone lost their minds.
