Oktoberfest coasters

Is there a way to add Olympia Looping and the other Oktoberfest coasters to the database, or is it not set up for traveling rides?

I feel incomplete not being able to prove to people that I went on this bucket list ride.

It's not really set up for traveling rides, since the db ties them all to parks. I wonder how much desire there is for this. At the very least, I could designate a "park" as "European Travel Coasters." But only if you and/or others would promise to contribute photos of the rides.

I promise.

Telling people you went on these coasters doesn't work but showing them a list of coasters you have ridden (which you self-populated without any verification) does?

Someone is cranky. People like to collect things. We like collecting coaster credits and it's nice to have a convenient place to keep track of it and share it.

Why not a US category as well? Or just "Travel Coasters" without the designation? There's gotta be some Dragon Wagons I can add...

I like that idea, but upon deeper thought I think it could get messy fast. How do you differentiate between the 15 different traveling Zyklon coasters?

Well, we could limit it for clones. It appears a lot of these rides are otherwise unique. Is there another Olympia, or is that the only 5-banger?

Does Carnival’s Bolt count as a traveling coaster?

Olympia Looping is a one-off as is Hollenblitz, and Alpina Bahn. They have a Wilde Maus (Mack), and at one time they hosted the swinging Drifting Coaster. It varies from year to year.

This is a tricky one. There are hundreds of travelling coasters around the world.

The big German travelling coasters are Olympia Looping, Alpina Bahn, Hollenblitz, and Wilde Maus XXL. I'd also include a few defunct rides like Euro-Star (now in a park in Russia), Spinning Racer (now in Saudi), and Testrecke (now in Saudi). After that you've a few second tier rides that are still significant and spectacular, like Alpen Coaster and Rock & Roller Coaster.

You've a handful of note in France too, like King, Super Railway, and two Schwarzkopf Jet Stars.

Speaking of Euro Star I would love to see that coaster back on the road.

Unlikely. It's been at Anapa Park Jungle for a few years now.

Take away my enthusiast card, I had never heard of Euro Star until now. It's no Raptor or Alpengeist, but it looks way better than an SLC.

Over the years I never heard anything but bad about that ride. Rough, uncomfortable, and tough to move.
