I think it's awesome that after all these years you still work to improve the software, Jeff. I can't stick to a project for longer than a month yet here you are continuing to poke at stuff you initially wrote 20 years ago.

@julie
I think that's added complexity with little payoff. If you're quoting in context, you shouldn't need the entire original post.

OK. Sorry. I thought you were talking about including text from an original post in a different thread, in which case, it would be nice to be able to easily navigate to the original thread (like a citation).
You're one of five users who have looked at it in the last month. I think it's going to go away, but it will eventually be replaced by notifications so you can enjoy your upvote whoring.

I've noticed on this site in the "recent" view, when a new post is made and the New Posts icon highlights automatically, clicking on that icon returns an error. Clicking back and then on the icon again works fine.
Finally reproduced the issue this morning. Not sure if it's always the case, but this was the new topic created in News, it threw a 404:
Wondering if it has something to do with Chrome not being on the latest (see top right), I've never checked to see if it needed an update any other time this has happened.
Going back will you get the non-dynamic update, so that makes sense. I just rewrote some of this yesterday, so it may already be fixed. On the test site, I opened two tabs. On one I kept Recent open, on the other I replied to a post. It appeared on the recent page, I clicked on it and it went as expected.

I need to do a pretty wide full regression pass on it when it's closer to done. Hopefully in a week or two.

Jeff:
The first thing I'm trying to tackle is quote posting.
Hold on to your butts, because I just deployed the new version despite it's relative roughness. Y'all get to be the guinea pigs again.
Vater:
Awesome, been wanting a way to delete accidental up votes forever.
And now you can.
