Next forum testing

Yes, I’m getting the empty post message, still. I just submit again and it posts.

I ordered a new iPad Mini today (they're $90 off on Amazon), so I can finally test on something not a 3.5" iPod screen. You should see the hack I had to do to get quoting to work on those damn things.

Jeff:

Is anyone else on an iOS thing having a problem where it says "can't make empty post" other than Andy?

I had it for the first time today. Same solution as well, clicked on Submit Reply again and it was fine.

I don’t know how y’all are managing on iOS. I got the iPad, and I can’t get the quote to work at all. It’s so frustrating.

Same, quoting isn’t working for me at all on iOS. I’m also getting the empty post error.

Is that here or on the test site?

Disregard. I updated to the newer bits here. Trying to use it without on this iPad was infuriating. Y’all are way more patient than I am.

Not really, I just don't use my iPad or iPhone to quote people. I jump on my computer if I want to do that :-D

Pixel FTW!

Hi

Seems since the update a couple days ago the font changed and pages are quite a bit slower to load. Only on iOS though.

Quoting is working now, and posting doesn’t throw an error anymore.

Last edited by Vater,

None of that on my iOS. Yet.

I very much concur. Using these other devices makes me appreciate my phone. I miss the days when Apple made amazing hardware and software.

Ha ha. And here my coworkers are always complaining about Chrome.

And I'm sure they have a hundred tabs open at all times. šŸ˜†

I'm really considering ditching the activity feed (but leaving the one in user profiles). Talk me out of it.

Jeff - Editor - CoasterBuzz.com - My Blog

Here's where I ask a really dumb question: there's an activity feed other than the one in profiles?

Under ā€œforumā€ thereā€™s a little drop down and activity feed is there. It shows every activity thatā€™s occurred.
I donā€™t know of a practical use for it.
I do, however, use my personal activity feed. Itā€™s a bit of a shortcut sometimes.

You'll really like the notifications then. (And when I say that, I mean they're on the page... they don't buzz your phone.)

I made a little progress tonight, but I haven't merged in all this stuff to the test site build just yet. I haven't done any of the work yet to keep the count in sync with the browser or reduce the count when you've clicked on one or marked them all as read.

I won’t be happy until you get this site to work on my Nintendo Wii browser.
