Yeah, well, it's not a bad ride. But out of all the similar B&M hyper airtime coasters, it's my least favorite.

I don't get how it's currently ranked the best of the bunch at all.

Well, Behemoth is actually ranked the highest of the trio. Intimidator came in second. ;)

I do want to reaffirm how much I like a system that basically ranks rides based on their individual merits as opposed to how they stack up to others. How people can rank rides once their track records break two hundred or so (an arbitrary number, but you get the idea) is beyond me. I don't even know if I have a favorite ride anymore. When people ask me what my favorite ride is, I explain that I place them in tiers (which I got from the CoasterBuzz system, although I have a two five-star levels, one of which is kind of like the oh-my-gosh-that-was-the-stuff-of-legends level and the other is the just-really-really-good level). Part of me wants to vote in the Golden Tickets (while the impact would be minimal, I would argue that my selections would be well outside the norm), but I couldn't even give a top ten even with the provision that they could be in no particular order.

I wonder if some 200+ track record people do rank their rides in order as not so many credit people do such as me and other fellow CB people do.

I just ranked my rides in order recently here on CB. It was not easy, and I am sure that if I go back and look at it in a year or so, or even right now, I will find something about it that I would want to change.

Sometimes there are intangibles that factor into the ride. Of the trio, Behemoth has the lake, Diamondback has trees and terrain, while Intimidator has a parking lot. :-( Otherwise the three should theoretically be much more equal.

LOL - my view is that Behemoth has the best surrounding park, Diamondback has the best theming, and Intimidator has the cool twisty drops and a great view of the flying skooters (not a NASCAR fan).

But none of them has the powerful aggressive hills of Goliath - the only B&M hyper in my top-10... ;~P

I can't really pick a favorite ride. I mean, if you look at my track record and group the rides I gave a 5, it's one or more of those.

I'd rather ride Giant over Voyage any day.

The older I get, the more the idea of ranking subjective things in specific, exact orders seems pointless. If I go on a new coaster and then think, "That's among the best coasters I've ridden," that's good enough for me nowadays.

For me, it's not age as much as it's volume. When I had 100 coasters, I only had 2 or 3 in the "consensus top 25" and I could pick my favorites and it was pretty easy. Now that I have over 350 and around 20 of the "consensus top 25" some of which I rode 10+ years ago, I have no idea how to compare. (Let alone things like night vs. day, front vs. back, company, multiple rides, crowds, and my general mood).

I'm right with you Andy. It's very difficult. I more prefer to narrow it down by mfg & type, GateKeeper is my favorite B&M WingRider, Leviathan is my favorite B&M Giga, Black Mamba is my favorite B&M Invert, Voyage is my favorite Gravity Group Woodie etc.
