Take me to another place,

Take me to another land,

Where CoasterBuzz was Tyler-Free,

That would be an awesome plan...

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

I am a pretty big Behemoth homer... But even I can't see it being #7. It is basically grouped with all the other BM hypers, but at the top of the list.

Question is where will Leviathan debut? That day is coming fairly soon I would guess.

I would think 10-20... But perhaps right there with Behemoth. Most people like them about equal. For me it depends on the day.

Lots of jockeying for position this week from top to bottom. Most notably, the top 10 had a bunch of movement.

Boulder Dash slipped into #3, knocking Bizzaro (the highest rated steel) to #4. Thunderhead and Phoenix moved into spots #8 and #9, respectively at the expense of Prowler, which dropped out of the top 10 to #11.

El Toro held on to #1 for the second straight week.

I believe you mean volleying for position.

Man. Some people sure don't like Renegade. I think that has to be one of the most impressive drops in position I've ever seen. Hellcat didn't seem to be too popular this week either.

This week:

  • Verbolten debuts at #48 on the list.
  • Phoenix and Intimidator (Carowinds) swap places in the top 10.
  • A bunch of elbowing for space in the middle of the pack

It's weird that we have so much movement in the fall now, but I suppose not if you consider how big the fall events have become at the parks. So many people making it out to parks this time of year now.

Is any consideration being given to removing defunct coasters from the list? I loved me some Big Bad Wolf, and I'm pretty sure that it, Ozark Wildcat, and Rampage are the only 3 defunct rides on the list, but I don't know how valuable knowing that people liked the Big Bad Wolf would be to someone who is going off the list trying to determine where to go on a trip or something.

I've only ridden Verbolten virtually via youtube pov. It doesn't seem very good, and it sucks they removed so many trees. I just always loved the German village theming on Big Bad Wolf. And the dive down to the Rhine on Verbolten doesn't look very great at all. Is it as dull as it appears virtually?

No.

Eh. I wish they would have kept the German Villiage, and the drop to the river is very bleh, and the return to the station has no airtime.

But the entirety of the ride that is in that building is amazing. Not top ten, but a decent, solid, fun family ride.

Exactly. To me, "decent, solid, fun family ride" does not equal "as dull as it appears virtually".

It's no Big Bad Wolf, but I didn't expect it to be. Which is probably why I enjoyed it so much.

Another week with a lot of 'elbowing' going on.

The bottom of the top ten gets a mix up with Thunderhead and Behemoth swapping the 7 & 8 positions (Thunderhead moves up) while Phoenix and Intimidator swap the 9 & 10 spots (intimidator drops to #10).

Right behind them Maverick and Diamondback swap the 12 & 13 positions with Diamondback dropping to lucky #13.

Beyond that nothing moved more than 2 or three spots - again, just some elbowing for space - with the exceptions of Kentucky Rumbler and Afterburn at Carowinds which both dropped 5 places to numbers 52 and 63 respectively

And it looks like El Toro is going to hold that #1 spot for a while this time.

^^Considering the quality rides I've had my last two visits, that wouldn't surprise me one iota.

I have a question for the people who enjoy rides like El Toro, New Texas Giant, Bizzaro (aka Superman), Expidition GeForce and the like. Is there a point at which Negative G's would be to extreme for you? Because those blow right past my tolerance. Some solely because of the shape of the lap bar.

As long as I stay in the train, I don't think "too extreme" is an option.

If there is that point, I haven't reached it. El Toro is as close to perfect as they come for me.

Hi

I haven't found a point where Negative Gs are too much for me. I've been in uncomfortable restraints before, but of the ones mentioned, none of them I felt were uncomfortable. Even with Toro's stapling, I didn't find it uncomfortable.

I get a little scared, truth told. I've experienced El Toro, Skyrush, New Texas Giant, and Outlaw Run, and while I find the extreme negative G's to be amazing, I also worry constantly if the restraint is going to hold. Silly, right? I rode Skyrush and Outlaw Run many many times when visiting those parks, so I guess it wasn't enough to make me quit, but I still got that scary feeling on each and every ride.
