Oh, I hadn't considered that. Makes sense.

Now I'll know for next week's update. :)

Wild Eagle and SkyRush have made their debuts this week, with the Tennessee wing-rider coming in at 34 and the Pennsylvania hypercoaster not far behind at 38.

And GateKeeper jumped up 2 just in time to stay ahead of Wild Eagle.

The mass of "-" symbols this week is pretty unique. Not much movement underneath the new entries so they all dropped.

Any chance of Shoot the Rapids being added as a coaster since they added an inversion?

Rob, that's so so bad but it made me laugh.

I just ranked my coasters a few days ago, and I put Skyrush near the very bottom of my list. I find it strange and slightly amusing that it is in the top half of the top 100.

It's so hard for me to not love that ride, given how incredible everything about it is...except the actual part where it's supposed to be fun. I'm really torn about it, because it's unridable for a completely different reason than any other ride experience that I've ever had.

Remember, yout rank has nothing to do with the 100... only the ratings.

Oh. I forgot to mention that I re-rated some of my coasters so it fit more perfectly with the rank. It was pretty slight though.

Heck, I don't even know if I am one of the chosen ones from which those ratings even count or not. lol

What is the cut off line? If I have 95 rides, do I count?

It's a simple mathematical formula that takes your ride number multiplied by your number of quality postings. In other words, you're toast.

Hmm, this topic has been around since June, the top-100 has been around also for quite awhile.

Leviathan @ Canada's Wonderland is mysteriously (?) missing from this picture, yet strangely enough some odd other entries I noticed ARE in this, like the four "Batman: The Ride" clones, Jack Rabbit & Great Bear.

Sure, I was just there this past week to try it for the first time and my overall impression is that I was quite impressed. Felt it was very 'Millennium Force-ish', only by B&M, and it felt a little shorter, but still an extreme rush. Is there a down side to Leviathan that is not bringing up in the rankings, considering it had a good year to settle the good(?) impression with coaster enthusiasts on this board?

Remember, Cedar Point invited every member of CoasterbuzzClub to media day. That gave it a lot of riders.

One entry this week, Prowler at number 7! That's a pretty impressive debut. I haven't ridden it but I am wondering, for those who have ridden it, if they consider it worthy of a top 10 ride?

It bumped Thunderhead out of the Top 10 into eleventh place.

I still like Thunderhead more the Prowler when it comes to GCIs. Prowler is either #2 or #3, I just cant decide between Lightning Racer and it. Prowler objectivily gives a better ride, but the racing aspect and the sweet racing light package that LR has gives it some major intangibles that Prowler doesnt have.

Prowler is definitely worthy of that ranking.

I do agree that Prowler is much better at night and it's one of the coasters in my "best night ride" pantheon (along with Voyage, the Beast and Boulder Dash). It's certainly no slouch during the day and would still be in my top 15 if it were only for day rides, but the night rides push this thing way up.
