I have memorized Rampage's phrase: "Please enter tallerst person first!Talles person first!Please remove all lose articles, hats, glasses, cameras, anything you feel you may lose on the ride.After you fasten you seat belts pull down on your lap bar. If you are not riding this cycle step behind the yellow line, que gates are closing. If all attendants are ready train is ready to dispatch. Enjoy your ride on the Rampage. Dispatch!!" When it comes back, "Welcome back to the station. Please unfasten your seat belts then push down pull up on your lap bar. Exit to the lap and enjoy the rest of your day at VisionLand."

At Lagoon...

the ride operator for the rocket(which is a space shot) this one ladie's restraint wouldn't come down.She'd pull it down and it would go right back up,so that lady flipped out and left the ride,the operator then said the restraints werent soposed to do that until the top.

also on the terror ride..

When the gates open everyone runs for a good seat,and then the anouncement thing says WALK DO NOT RUN,and then it's funny to see everyone slow down to a walk.

Once when I was at the wooden Rollercoaster..

the ride operator said"please let us know if you see anyone playing with matches around the rollercoaster,And enjoy the Rollercoaster.
(for those of you who don't know the rollercoaster burnt down in the 1950's.)

On Colossus..

Please do not extend your hands above your head,and well if you don't have a head how did you get over here.

One that I havent't heard,but It would be funny.

On a stand up coaster.

Please keep your hands and feet inside the car,and remember do Not stand up.

On Great Bear they always say ," Please enjoy your 120 ft. drop". When you come back they say ,"We hoped you enjoyed your 120 ft. drop".

On BigBadWolf they say "You will now travel at the speed of fright!" as you leave they station. Wow! The speed of fright is 3-5 mph! lol! The ride ops sometimes howl into the mic.

On Flashback. The Boomerang ride at SFOT the guy always says "Back Back, Back Back, gimmie 50ft feet" Of course being the smart a** that I am I always yell, Yo, dude! Thats a little more than 50ft.

On Shockwave at SFOT before the dispatch the guy will go "Every body get your roll on......... thank you."

I don't get the thank you. When you challenge someone or something, doesn't that result in a fight? I thought those were prohibited on SFGAm's property.

I like "Welcome back, when the train comes to a complete stop, push down, then pull up on the lapbar." on American Eagle, and then the buzzer sounds, and only 1/2 of the train has the intelligence to figure out that is when you push down/pull up. It sucks that SFGAm has recordings for everything. I think Whizzer is the only coaster that doesn't.

I liked at Sea World San Antonio when the Great White op said they were "adding another COASTER(meaning train) for our convenience". That would've been nice! :-)

Oh the best thing is now on the Batwing coaster @ SFA. On X-flight when they tilt the seats back they say "Recline" or something lame like that. But on Batwing the op says "Train Check?" (waits for the thumbs ups) and then says "BOW DOWN!" and tilts the seats. Intamin Fan and I got a real kick out of that yesterday.

I had a ride op on the Beast once while I was getting into the car go, "Hey Mike, isnt it your Birthday?" and he pointed to someone in the line. "Lets give Mike a birthday he wont forget! A one, two, three" and everyone in the station started singing Happy Birthday.

Is it just me or hardly any ride ops at PKI say anything? Its just my observation

When im at work here are of few of my creations:

Canyon Blaster:

"everyone standing in line please look by your feet there is a bright red line, please stand BEHIND that red line until the gates have opened"

"this station is a non sitting zone meaning there is no sitting on the railing"

"please dont touch, pull, push, sit on, kick, look at, breath on, or think about playing with the gates"

"for your saftey please rewind behind that bright red line"

Rim Runner:

"if you didnt notice you WILL be plummeting from a hieght of 60ft into a pool of water below at tremendous speed. Chances are you WILL get wet, and trust me for some of you the water wouldnt hurt!"


Any ride at the Adventuredome:

"i know you arent monkeys, and at least i hope you arent related to any so dont climb on the railings as if they are part of a jungle gym"

"last time I checked we are at a theme park, not a playground, STOP CLIMBING AND SWINGING on the railings please."

Here are some i use when I at work at MGM Grand:

Lightning Bolt:

"please do not play with the airgates as if you do it will cause the ride to stop, meaning that all motion will end, meaning that you will not be getting on, meaning that I will have to go rescue the stranded riders, meaning i will be very ANGRY!"

"please dont run, this ride has been in this park for 7 years, i dont think its about to go anywhere!"

"Stand clear opening gates, welcome aboard the one and only MGM Grand Adventures Lightning Bolt. Please watch your step as you enter the train. As soon as you are seated pull back on that big lap bar. Stand Clear closing gates. At this time please secure all loose articles such as hats, glasses, purses, cameras, glass eyeballs, lil kids, and all fake body parts as this is a roller coaster and roller coasters do eat them! Now hold on tight as you go over the hills and through the woods at heights ove 70ft. and speeds of an amazing 45mph."

On one of the rollercoasters at Cedar Point:

"I don't see any of you wearing ruby slippers, so stay behind the yellow line.

I used to be SteelPhantom 91-01.....

At Six Flags Great Adventure In '99 the ride op. at the twister was getting the riders all hyped up at the end of the ride saying "who wants to ride again? You want another ride?" Then he laughed and said "Then get back in line"
And another one of my favs was when i was operating the thunerhawk at dorney i annouced one of dorney's parkops fav. saving "please do not sit on the handrails, thankyou" and one of the other girls said to me "yeah their not ***rails"

I somehow doubt that I will ever forget what a ride op said to me last night. I was at a local carnival and my firends and I decided to go on the bumper cars. when we got to the entrance the ride op told us to spit out our gum after we had just opened it. then he grabbed our hands carefully inspected the stamps on them. he seemed to take longer with mine than anyone else's. I took the car that was right at the entrance and put on the restraints. the op checked everyone's restraint and came back to his post at the entrance. on his way back he slapped me on the shoulder and said ready to go macho guy? to which I replied uh...yeah. after the ride my friends decided that the guy was definatly hitting on me. despite that fact we went back later and the same guy was oping it. again he looked at my hand longer than everyone else's. I said come on, I've already been on this! I chose a car near the entrance, but not right next to it this time. it turned out that I was in a purple car and my friends were joking about it. so I jokingly said hey! watch it or I'll come over there and and kick your candy... it was a church thing so I couldn't finish. then the op stood in front of my car and said that I wouldn't be doing that on his ride because he had more something in his pants. I honestly don't remember what he said, I think I blocked out of my memory. when he finished checking the restraints he stood on the back of my car lifiting the front end up in the air. then half-way through the ride he stopped it and told one of my friends to spit out her gum. he looked at me and said I got 'em twice in one night! the final incident occured when I went to get my drink from the entrance and accidently bumped into a little kid. I appoligized and moved on, but the op called after me saying watch your elbows. I was 50 feet away from the ride in a matter of seconds.

it wasn't so much that he was hitting on me, 'cause I don't think myself a homophobe--I've got two lesbion neighbors who I'm cool with--I think that it was more that he was a gay carnie. either way it was a weird night.

MF@CP - A girl comes back into the exit station in the front seat and her two thin straps holding her shirt up broke. She was now holding her shirt up with both hands. The only thing said by the ride op was "Hmmmmm...Interesting"

Gemini@CP - A train returned to the station and the ride op asks "How was your ride?" Not a cheer from the train. The ride op responds "That's outstanding. I hope the rest of your day here at CP is as outstanding as your ride on Gemini was."
