Alleged drunk guy restrained by other guests at Disney California Adventure

Posted Monday, February 20, 2012 2:28 PM | Contributed by Jeff

A video uploaded to YouTube shows an apparently drunk guy taking a swing at a security guard at Disney California Adventure near the Tower of Terror entrance. After being pepper sprayed, he's eventually restrained by several other guests as they wait for security to arrive, which takes about three minutes.

Holy cow, those kids were dangerously close to getting pepper sprayed themselves and wow it takes a long time for security to get there.

I was more annoyed by the woman yelling at the guy. I mean, do you really think he's listening?

That woman yelling was twice as annoying as the drunk guy. Someone put a muzzle on her.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Who is the guy with the mace then? He's gotta be security.

Thanks,

Agree that the idiots yelling didn't help, but constantly spraying the guy when he's just standing there talking didn't help matters either. Let him talk, no need to elevate it with more spray.

It has to be security, can't think of why a manager or other CM would be carrying mace, even in SoCal. But the costume doesn't quite match from what I can tell.

Anyone that misuses the word "epic" should be pepper sprayed immediately.

I have no sound on my laptop...but is it safe to say somebody was upset that they were enforcing the Fastpass return time? :)

I told you that the peeps were not going to take this lightly! :)

Here's a San Diego TV station article on the incident.

I'd like to take a moment to say that shooting video vertically is super annoying. It's like watching something through a fence.

That was my very first though, Jeff. Turn your freekin' iPhone sideways when you are videoing something.

Thanks for sharing that video. It was great.

I commend the people who restrained this guy. If I were there, I'd be helping to restrain him. He should have listened to the guy with the spray and got on the ground like a good boy.

I also commend the kids who videoed the incident. Too bad we didn't see what happened at the beginning.

If the kids are so important to you, take them somewhere else instead sticking around and screeching like a bird. You probably wouldn't want some of the wildlife that would be attracted to that call around kids either.

It didn't appear that the screaming girl had any kids. She is the girl hanging with the videographer of the incident.

The goofy hat he's wearing doesn't exactly scream "authority." :)
