The bigger question is, who cares? If you put a Batman: The Ride in every park, I'd still ride it in every park.

After the last Batman: The Ride I rode, I probably wouldn't. I felt so ill after being inverted so many times that I was looking for the nearest trash can. Not fun.

Try riding Alpenghiest or montu and tell me they are not just like Raptor or Behemoth and Diamond back arent just like Nitro! Then try riding all 3 superman rides of steel and compare them to MF or maverick which are all different! I just think B&M should try some different designs because they are getting to be boring!

You realize that 99% of people at any park don't know those other rides even exist, right?

As for coaster geeks that actually know what manufacturer has installations at parks across the globe, I for one would love to have a clone of Montu less than a 16-hour drive away.

Well you know they have these flying machines now, right?

I thought that wasn't until 2015. Y'know... with the hoverboards.

Most Arrow's feel the same. Most B&M feel the same (even more!). Most new Intamin's feel the same. Most GCIs feel the same....

Now gimme an Anton or a Gravity Group ;)

If only more B&Ms (especially inverts) had batwing elements...they're not similar enough! ;)

(purchases 'Troll Food' pellets)

Seriously? Seriously? You *really* think Montu is just like Raptor? I *might* have given you Alpengeist, but not Montu.

That being said, if I were you, I would not single out B&M for having rides that felt similar. Having been on all the (current and formerly named) S:RoSes, MF, and even I-305 they all have a very similar feel. Quite frankly (hi Newt), that's a *good* thing.

Hell that's why we (used to) talk about 'Sweet Morgan Air' (TM) or Schwartzkopf Intensity or the Schmeck Seat because each designer had a 'personality' that shows through in their rides.

(I'd argue that there is a similar 'running gag' with the GCI coasters, but I dont think it has ever been nicknamed here.)

But as Jeff said, if the B&M invert design started and ended with B:TR, with Batmans (Batmen? Batmens? ;)) dotting the globe, would I be any less inclined to ride one? Hell, no!

There has never (and The Rock mean NEVER) been a bad B&M invert. The "worst" of them (I say Raptor, some say Alpy, or the coaster-formerly-know-as-Ice) is better than the majority of coasters ever made.

There, I said it, and you read it. (and you cant un-read it!)

^Agree wholeheartedly.

Oh, and Ice (Hungarian Horntail?) has gotten WAY better recently - even the Cobra Roll wasn't bangy. I think the *worst* B&M invert IMO is now Great White at SWSA - the roughest of the "Batmens" by a fairly wide margin.

I haven't gotten to Great White, so Ice is still my least favorite invert. It has gotten better, but I still just don't find it as exciting, and I absolutely love cobra rolls so it has an automatic "leg up" with me.

gator: didnt ride the Dragons this last trip, but thematically, Hungarian Horntail seems wrong for Ice. I guess "Chinese Fireball", lends itself to red, and they wanted to put "Harry's Dragon" in there somewhere, but it just seems wrong.

BTW: I'll try to be more active in the upcoming season(s).

Ah. Well, if you're talking about Batman, it is Six Flags. Remember this? (YouTube)

LOL. I can't stand feeling queasy or throwing up, and I totally would not be saying "I'm in!". :)

That commercial about sums up 1998, though!

This ride seemed eerily similar to Raptor when I rode is last summer. ;)

BTW, anyone notice anything missing from the ride?

Odd, especially since it appears they own three trains.

And what's up with the paint job? No time to finish?

This part looks different too. :)

I don't know if it's funny or sad that I can mentally picture the Cedar Point landscape at various points while watching that... mirrored, of course.

What's odd coasterdude? Did you notice the something that is missing?

They probably wouldn't have 3 trains if they bought it new. Of course they probably wouldn't have a coaster of that caliper if they bought it new. They ran 1 train the entire day we were there and there was never more than a 1 train wait. The other 2 trains they have were in various states of disassembly. They're obviously using them for parts to maintain the one train they actually run.
