After Animal Kingdom opened Disney saw "new parks + old parks =! more attendance". Instead attendance at Epcot & DHS fell in proportion to AK opening. What I think they'll do is add more to AK and DHS before adding another 5th gate.

Yeah, both of those parks weren't slam dunks when they opened. I think the studio park is still seeking an identity. Animal Kingdom suffers from the issue of being a daytime park by default. The critters don't "work" 16 hours a day.

Solution: Double the number of critters and add a second shift.

They could have some real night owls in that park.

The real reason for new gates is to increase length ofstay. But WDW is already bumping against US cultural vacation-length limits---and that typical length has been falling for a long time. Some foreign markets typically plan longer trips, but that might not be a large enough slice to justify it.
