This summer’s heat wave has meant sizzling business for Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari whose water park, one of the five largest in the world, has been crowded. The park’s overall attendance is running more than 10 percent ahead of last year’s record pace of 1,039,000 customers, according to park general manager Matt Eckert.

I didn't even think about SFKK, and what kind of impact the closing of that park may have had on HW. Very interesting.
I wonder if this additional attendance will taper off or even drop once Kentucky Kingdom reopens next year?

If it ever does again. And without The Chang, the appeal of the park will certainly drop off.
But it will all help continue the attendance boom at Holiday World

Yeah without the Chang At Kentucky Kingdom, even if they reopen,that was their main ride. Without their main ride, their appeal will go down many notches.

Seriously, No one has stated that the park (KK) will not get another big coaster to replace "The Chang". Kentucky Kingdom just might get back to being some kind of competition for Holiday World. Anyone want to do a little Skrying to tell us KK fate?
