42 is known to be the Ultimate Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything

yes, and by that logic, Earth is MOSTLY harmless. :)

Please make it stop...

I'm personally hoping for one of those Mack flumes with the "reversing tables" that switch the boats from forward to backward and vice versa.

I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.

When I caught up reading this thread, it said that Jason's post was edited... gulp, 42 minutes ago!

So I guess this means Cedar Point is getting a 42' high flume ride with 3 drops. Now how does the golden ratio figure into all of this?

From CP's Twitter: Aquatrax??? Not in 2010...

I think I'll actually go ahead and believe this one.

One down, two to go ;)

PS. Kind of neat how the power of 3 influenced Halloweekends to be 3-day weekends in the Fall instead of two, no?

Superstition alive and well at the Point.

From opening Fri to closing on Sunday, Halloweekends is closer two two days in hours.

And the fright zones are not open Sundays if I read it right. not 100% sure there, even so it would only be a short time. So does that make 2 back to being important.

Nope! Still officially 3 openings and 3 closings.

The power of 3 guides all things well and good at Cedar Point. Believe.

Trivia: Did you know the C.P. & L.E. RR opened in '63, is a 3 foot gauge railroad and has run with 3 trains at once in the past?!

And Saint Atilla raised the hand granade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this Thy hand grenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy." And the Lord did grin and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangatauns and breakfast cereals and fruit bats and large chu...

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceedest on to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it." Amen.

Obviously, the folks at CP are Monty Python fans.

I'm sure CP's annoucement for 2010 will make a huge splash in the industry. And then the battle begins for who holds the record....

I don't know why it just popped into my head, but i'm guessing a giant record breaking splash battle?

World's fastest splash battle....they'd only need to crank her up to, what, 6 mph instead of 5? :P

How about a water battle with lift hill and rapids. Do that and I am sold.

Of course, because 6 is divisible by 3.

LOL Dan. Am I the kind of douche--I mean guy--who would lead people down the wrong path with a few conveniently italicized words? Or maybe those two words apply to CP's 2010 ride after all? I guess we'll all know in about 10 days : )
