I still say PWE should get the starlight treatment.

...at night...shut it down for a half hour, add boats....lengthen the ride time, while adding music, but remove the corny spieling ...

Best idea I have ever heard! Somebody get DK on the phone right now and tell him! This would really help the ride's popularity at night. After dark, the ride does very little business.

If T+T are watching this thread, and I bet they are, you could sure bet the wheels are turning for next year...

To be honest, I think the PaddleWheel Starlight Excursions would be more popular than the walk through attraction they have now! I'm really surprised they didn't do this before they did the Starlight Experience. To whoever thought of this...great job...now we just have to convince the big guys.

While it would be really cool, it's also not feasible. Instead of having thousands of guests walk through the trail, they could have 416 people in an hour on the boats?

Except that you missed the part about adding more boats.

I say buy some new, higher capacity boats, that way you don't have the problem of training more Captains (it's difficult enough as it is to find enough employees that are able to learn to drive and spiel at the same time).

Add some new sets to the ride for the daytime. Add to/ change the spiel and market it as a new attraction that changes after dark. Make a more cohesive story. You wouldn't have to close it for a half hour each night because the set pieces would already be there. Someone would just have to flip a switch or whatever.

!The ride could go under a lighted vine tunnel! lol

This idea is overthrowing my imagination right now. If they don't consider this, someone else will.

2 of my 3 rides this year have featured one person driving while a second person spiels. Not sure if it was just training going on or if it's something new they are doing....

Sorry, I am not here all day and didn't know about the time limit. Considering most recent things aren't on topic, didn't know it mattered.

It doesn't matter. I was giving you a hard time (in a fun way).

Funny, isn't PWE the same ride that many enthusiasts are ready to ditch in place of a new ride?

Nope. That would be Snake River Falls.

CP Chris. that happens during training. One of the employees on the boat were almost definitely a TL or ATL. The other employee was trained well enough to drive or spiel, but not certified enough yet to take riders on their own. It takes some employees a long time to be able to do both smoothly.

PWE doesn't get a lot of riders. The difficulty of finding employees who are able to run the ride add to that to give the park a good reason to remove the attraction. But the rumor is that DK loves the ride; it is his baby, and as far as he is concerned, it will stay.

Every time something is built near the lagoon, the rumor is that PWE will be removed.

Wow, it has been way too long since I logged in to actually post here. I just read now.

Anyways, I really would love to run a park one day just so I can toy with people about the inside information...

It's kind of hard to catch to the untrained eye. Nonetheless it's a pleasant ride with horrible puns (sounds like some of the threads around here... ;) ).

Wow...it shows how obsessed I am with the actual coasters =). I really need to just go and enjoy the park without sprinting from line to line. I've somewhat done it, but not fully enough. I hope this ride adds to the scenery and isn't ugly and out of place. Like Disaster Transport...but we've been over that...
