Holiday World 2010

Looks like yet another winner for Holiday World. I really need to get out there sometime.

I believe each uphill section is a block.

Looks like winner to me, and I'm not a big waterpark fan.

Sounds like a winner for the park.

btw 36 ft / sec = 24.5 mph.
I had to convert that to something I could understand better.

I'm sure the person who was convinced it was going to be called Kombora must feel pretty stupid.

What I read on another site said 720 pph, which is good for a water ride like this.

It took over a half hour for someone to make a new post about this.

Please don't flame on me when I say that although the ride looks fun, I am really disapointed that it's not a dry park ride.

But I am sure that this is a good fit for the waterpark.

You are correct - both Noah's Ark and Schlitterbahn run their watercoasters on that same sort of blocking scheme...

For those of you who were hoping for a Coaster, better luck next year!

Holiday World already has the "Chuck Norris" of all roller coasters. I think they can wait quite a while before adding another.

It looks cool, but are parts of the LIM's incorperated into the rafts?

Just added one? It opened in 2007. I finally rode it last year. I was unimpressed. It seemed very short and boring. I hope HW will deliver a better product.

I was never "convinced" that is what they would call it. I just thought Kombora was the best name considering they named two other Proslide originals with Swahili terms. The logo (W for horns) is impressive and Wildebeest is a great name. I give much props to John on that. I was attempting to convince HW that Kombora is what they should call it, but they were not buying it. Either way you look at it, the ride is still a KOMBORA!
