This is a weird one.

http://www.wxyz.com/entertainment/weirdnews/story/Woman-plans-to-marry-rollercoaster/Ogh4cKkfDkil9u8jOWF9NA.cspx

It does not give the name of the coaster.

Sometimes people want to get married on a rollercoaster, but to marry the coaster itself????

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

It is not a coaster that she want to marry. It is 1001 Nachts at Knoebels

She says they have been intimate and that she carries around spare nuts & bolts from the ride.

When we are there next week I think I will skip this ride. I wouldn't want it to cheat on her. :p

It's Adam and Eve, not Adam and... Geez, I can't even come up with a whitty and mocking statement here.

I can't see this story ending well at all.

I know it seems ridiculous to us, but really its not for her. It is a mental disease that she has no power over, and I think its a little inappropriate to make fun of her.

It shouldn't seem too ridiculous to us. How many times have we called our favorite coaster or ride "sexy"? I certainly understand the beginnings of her thought process, but not as far as wanting to make love to a heavy machine.

I mean, just take one look at Millennium Force's beautiful curves and tall, almost proud structure.

There has to be a great M:TR joke in here somewhere.

Lost Kause, I distinctly remember an off season thread in pointbuzz where it was debated which sex each coaster was (I remember MF, Raptor and Mantis were females by consensus and TTD, Magnum and Maverick males) I just wish I could find it.

It's funny in an odd sirt of way...but sometimes (especially during the off season) I miss and long for my "mechanial friends."

When a favorite ride "dies" or "moves on" it does leaves a kind of void....

Right now there have been threads about "Big Bad Wolf." In the name of personification, it is on it's death-bed. The powers that be have been given the orders "Do Not Recesetate." Some of us (I can't - but would like to) are making plans to say goodbye before he / she / it passes.

People name their cars, boats, etc. We just don't sleep with them.

PS - Let's say they for some reason, they did tie the knot, had children, and then for some reason divorced...who would get custody of the the kids...and pay for it's lubrication, break pads and spare parts?

Who would get custody of the KIDDIE RIDES? HAHA!

I seriously was trying to understand the lady in the video linked by nate g, until she started wiping grease all over her face and started tonguing the ride. Then I was like, WTF? lol

To each his own, I suppose.

When she started making out with the ride I could hear the music to "The Crying Game". I know it's a medical condition and all, but good Lord, that was disturbing.

Certain victory.

Oh my god, that poor thing.

So she's from Allentown- suppose she's been through all the rides at Dorney? Finally had to move on? Once the Joker was removed?

No, wait. My guess is Cedar Fair ain't havin it. "ma'am?..please do not make out with the ri...ma'am?...Ma'am?... DO NOT make out with the ride..."

Not a bad rule, I guess. It's for everyone's safety. But isn't' it nice to know our friends at Knoebel's are, well... tolerant?
