Twisted Rails posts video of X in action

I've been very lucky recently, getting to witness the first test run of X, and now watching it in the daylight and being able to record it for everyone. So far, everything seems to be working as it should for X. The wait shouldn't be too much longer.

"Go trig boy, it's your birthday!" lol Had to continue Davie's tradition from American Pie! Looks like an awesome ride! Only one wish now that it will be open in two weeks, I'll be there the Friday before Labor Day, keeping my fingers crossed!

Karl,

All I have to say to you is a HUGE thanks for all the legwork that you have done in support of our eager appetites for X! You have provided countless sighs from my household alone with the magnificent photos, desktops, and video. You are to be praised!

Has Cedar Point announced the new ride for next year yet? What if they're waiting to see how X turns out to make any decisions. They might be planning one of their own for next year and just waiting to make sure its a safe bet before going thru with it. And you know that Cedar Point won't settle for anything less than the best. Hopefully they do to give those of us in the East and Midwest an easier trip to experience this revolutionary coaster. Not to mention it would ease the line on Millennium Force. Finally, what is the possibility of B&M designing one? You know that would be amazing.

OK, I'll say it for everyone....
WHO CARES WHAT CEDAR POINT IS DOING!!!
This coaster gives me goosebumps!!! We coaster enthusiasts have never been subjected to the forces and sensations this ride will produce. I'm only 30 minutes from the Mountain and can't wait for opening day. I wonder what it sounds like!!

Twisted Rails, you're the MAN!!!
I'd send you a better camera myself if I could afford it right now cause you're so worth it. Keep it up.

CP is getting some sort of Launched Attraction. It is a very compact ride. I have gotten this info from a very and I mean very reliable source.

After watching the video, X looks like it will have it's highs and lows. The drop is awesome, and the raven turns, but the turn around the station looks weak but I won't know until I ride it in December.

Once again I will say this ride is very short but it is very intense. What do u people prefer, intensity or ride duration?

Man I wish Ron Toomer still at Arrow Dynamics. Now that guy knew how to turn a normal sit-down into an amazing creation. You know this ride would be longer if he "fixed" it. I like it anyway though. Nice work Arrow.

I want to ride X really bad. Two problems:
1) I live in Kentucky.
2) I'm only 15 and can't talk my parents into flying me out there in December.

Hopefully, one of these will come on this side of the Mississippi so I might have a better chance of riding. X looks like one good ride. All I have to say is that X better not blow it like Jim did with Nadia in "American Pie".

I would agree with you. Off the subject for a sec, but Jim totally had the chance to, "you know" with Nadia (hint, hint).

It DOES look very cool...

I've heard about shortness issues with the ride. It actually does look VERY cool, but I don't think X will be the be all end all (or visa versa) of coasters.

Let's put it this way. Arrow's 4th dimension has limitless potential. I don't think X will be best thing Arrow can come up with.

I ALSO don't think CP would get a 4th dimension, but that's just my instinct.

About the shortness factor, I've timed the ride, as well as a few others.

These times are all from lift to final brakes, with Magnum & Mantis counting up to the first set of 'final' brakes.

Mantis - 1:00
Raptor - 1:10
Magnum - 1:17
-----
X - 0:39
-----

By the way, Poltergeist, an LIM launched Mad Cobra at SFFT has a ride time of 0:49 seconds.

Well, anyway, X is going to be one hell of a ride, but it's also very, very short. Possibly because those trains don't carry much momentum due to the whole 'not really aerodynamic' properties they hold. I guess that's a pretty good reason. Arrow will figure a way around this soon, I'm sure.

they will probably play the song "X" by X-bibit in the station. CP is probably getting something like Jokers Jinx because it is launched and very compact.Knotts probably has something good because before they ordered the ride they new SFMM was getting X. so whatever there getting, it must be pretty good. arrow just cam eout with the fourth-dimmensoinal. there gonn make new inversions and make new and longer designs, so it will juts keeps getting better. and who knows, they might come out with a launched 4D or a superboomerang 4D. and maybe B&M will make a 4D.
