The Shaft of Terror discovered at last

Posted Monday, July 9, 2001 8:41 AM | Contributed by Taipan

G'Day, I've just returned from an "expedition" to my birth country and original home park, Gold Reef City. Here are the photos of what looks like the Holy Grail of vertical coasters worldwide:

Photos and more photos.

This isn't the first we have heard of this ride, or at least not for a lot of us. Gio hasn't kept this ride a secret, and in one of the more recent Rollercoaster! magazines there was a large profile of the park, along with word of this coaster

Great Looking Coaster! I Like the Industrial look to it. This Industrial theme should be used more often.

Well, they started building the coaster BEFORE they (supposedly) told us they are stopping.

Excellent. It looks like a concept Disney or BGW might play with.

It reminds me of some coaster out of Sim Theme Park or Sim Coaster. Fabulous!
