So if one shoot-the-chutes is 'meh' they all are?

Sandor worked for Hopkins when we purchased Raging Rapids, so although it's our first Intamin, it's our second Sandor. :)

Paula thanks for further clarifying.

I think this will be a huge splash!

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!

Normally I'm all for puns...but lately all of mine have fallen flat.

The punsters in here are usually rather sharp. But anyway, I don't want to horn in on the conversation and cause any treble.

Not to put a damper on anyone's fun, but let's get down to the real heart and soul of this ride.

I still think, even with the 45 degree drop this ride will measure up to all the rest, but what I want to know is, with 2 ways to enter, how are they going to staff it?

I don't know how they are going to staff it, but these puns are getting really annoying!

(How was that one? ;))

So anybody hear the new rumor... HW is getting something called "Kombora" in 2010. Or maybe I just dreamed that. I can't remember exactly.

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.

Can they start building stuff for 2009 before talking about 2010?

hey hey hey... the stakes are in the ground.... Besides its just one word. Which I plan on repeating so many times that the word of mouth creates a frenzy of anticipation.

oh yeah, I forgot... K O M B O R A, anybody else heard about that? Apparently it can mean Missile, Rocket, or Bomb in Swahili. Sounds interesting. I can't wait Paula, this "Kombora" thing is getting me really hyped up. *** Edited 8/28/2008 4:12:54 AM UTC by woohooboy***

The trick to (correctly) guessing what Holiday World is going to add is to think about what the park needs...and not what you need the park to add.

So...thats one that not everybody else got since 2000, now how does that saying go... "even the sun has to shine on a dogs...."

The park NEEDS a mega shoot-the-chutes ride with an elevator built by Intamin? Wow, Moosh, wow, I thought you were a little awkward but your just crazy.

I think the key is reading Paulas clues, otherwise you would have had no clue, just like everybody else. I, like I would assume most people, before Paulas clues, were thinking an assortment of new flat rides to fill in the Thanksgiving section. Thats what they could definitely use, but I clearly don't understand their focus. I personally don't think this ride says family anywhere on it, well except for each boat able to fit a few. I love the Holiwatch plan and extra sun shades. *** Edited 8/28/2008 4:27:44 AM UTC by woohooboy***

Just because it's a family oriented park doesn't mean they don't need thrill rides.

We get it. You want a rocket. Some of us others do too.

Get with the program folks. Don't you know by now that if a park doesn't put in what you want,

a) it's obviously going to suck,

b) have ridiculously low capacity,

c) be a maintenance and operational nightmare,

d) nobody will want to ride it,

e) nobody will ever ever go to the park again and it will close within 2 years

Mark my words-- Fahren-moth-diamond-plunge II will be a disaster!

Anyone else notice this?

8.4 Million in capital investment for 2009. Pilgrims Plunge is to cost $4.3 Million, the HoliWatch is to cost $1 Million -- that leaves 3.1 Million left that has not been accounted for.
