There is also no mention of theming or any ride experience other than the lift and drop in the press release either.

All riders will be required to wear a large hat with a buckle on the front.

Thats funny right there :)
Can you bring your own?

Was the apostrophe left out of the name and logo on purpose?

I can has signature?

BlueSide,
I wondered that too, but knowing Paula its' pretty much a guarantee it was deliberate. Shes' pretty fastidious about thing like that and I seem to recall her previously being 'in' on naming sessions.
I think its' kind of a joke, actually... If it were "Pilgrim's Plunge" that would mean "The Plunge of The Pilgrims". "Pilgrims Plunge" is more active... meaning "The Pilgrims are Plunging"
Does that make sense to anyone except me?

^Noun-verb as opposed to adjective-noun? ;)

Kinda surprised they couldn't have increased reliability and decreased cost with something from Mack...might just be me. :)

Exactly. I think.

Does Perilous Plunge have an advertised wave size for comparison?

Do pilgrims plunge? Yes. Pilgrims plunge.

I was thinking that, too. An active sentence as ride name - Pilgrims (plural noun) Plunge (present tense verb). Most people will think of it the other way which I think makes it that much better.

The only other ride I can think of offhand that has a sentence for a name..."Abandon Mine" at Uncle Bernie's.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

When it opened it claimed a splash height of 45 feet. The boats were redesigned with a modified scoop front (and OSTRs) that greatly reduced the height.

Yes! My suggestion from the start was "Hang on to Your Hats" for a slogan.

Alas, I was the only one who liked it. I gotta find me a new gig...

It's called a chin strap. Of course using the hats and OTSRs might be a feast of work for the operators :)
This thing scares the crap out of me...In a good way. Not knocking the brand or anything like that it's just the idea of a plunge ride that's this high.

Can't wait to ride it! (over and over)

Every time I think I might skip the next Holiwood Nights, you guys do something to keep me coming back. Any chance we'll have some of the morning Splashin' Safari ERT on this Paula?

Paula mentioned elsewhere that there will be a splash zone. Awww, I can just imagine all the little children getting knocked over by that wave. I think that bridge will have its own special name.

Mind you, even a tiny difference, such as that between 0 and 0.000126, can make a world of difference.

(Don't kill me, but...) I would actually be happy with OTSR's on this thing. Imagine how many less nose-bleeds there would be from people's faces slamming into their restraints once reaching impact with the splash zone! ;)
