Plans in motion to set up a new company, somewhat unrelated to my current work. Can't say more than that at the mo as we've agreed complete secrecy until it's up and running - kind of a unique idea. More value to the customer, more cash in our pockets yadda yadda.
Wifey is self-employed as a teacher of environmental ed. - anyone from Essex (UK) need an external teacher to come in and get your kids green and dirty? :P
In my downtime i try to visit parks as much as possible - having recently completed a definitive list of parks i want to visit in the U.S (done all the ones here in the UK), i'm intending on spending a great deal of time touring the states :)

For a website with a bunch of people who think they know a lot about the amusement industry, their is only a few people that actually WORK in the industry. Very interesting...
Okay, fine. I'll bite.
I'm a certified state amusement inspector. I help build, program, troubleshoot, fix, and maintain amusement rides and rollercoasters.
Also, I like to DJ new wave and industrial music, but I just do that for friends and fun.
Hi
I don't know what you tell your students but I figured it like this:
There are 48 1/4" in a foot.
So, that would mean 96 for 1/8", 192 for 1/16" and so on...
Same the other way. 24 for 1/2" and of course 12 for 1"
It all fell into place from there.
With all the express tools, templates, and added crap at my work we don't have to do the "z,1/48xp" type stuff for the viewports.
I don't know how much you like where you are but where I'm at is always looking for M/E/S people all the time. And I would get a hefty reward.
Thanks for another great season, VF!
