Getting to know the members! What does everyone do for a living?

This isn't supposed to be a I make more money than you topic. I am just wondering what everyone does for a living so I can get a good idea of the different fields that people I talk to online have expertise in. For example I am a student at Rowan College in NJ and currently work as a meat cutter in my local Shop Rite.

I'm currently a construction manager for a large resort in the Caribbean. But, I have my degree in Architecture and have worked on all kinds of design and construction projects - including resort and theme park development for Disney. That's where my interest in parks and rides comes from. Hopefully my next contract will be back with parks. Anyone know of openings?

I also design custom homes, so if you're in the market, look me up. :)

UNEMPLOYED (about 6 weeks)

And I hate it.

I worked as a Graphic Artist for the Columbus Dispatch for over 8 1/2 years.

Then, they decided it would be more cost-effective to dispose of a department of 89 people... people who made the company lots of money....and send the work to INDIA.

Apparently, the Dispatch isn't happy with that either. *** Edited 9/12/2007 10:14:09 PM UTC by john peck***

John,

Have you ever looked into the printing field? Graphic Artists tend to merge well into that line of work.

Wow this turned into an interesting thread. halltd if I could afford a house I'd definatly look you up. However being 20 and living in an area where house cost 500 to 600,000 it's not happening anytime soon.

Also Peabody what kind of college professor are you? If I remember coffectly from the days when I was Medusafanatic you are also a musician am I right?

I own/run a small computer repair company in South Jersey.

Thanks,
DMC

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

I've got about 5 jobs at the present moment...

My primary role is physical therapist for a school system (large city) and home health for a rural town outside of Vegas. I dabble as a stock trader and landlord. I also do a little weekend work on a biology/chemistry study to put my undergrad degrees to work. I occasionally fill in as a musician too. Anybody got another job I could take on...? ;)
