I create all computer access accounts (network, labs, email) for all faculty, staff and students on our campus. I assist with the helpdesk, sell software and maintain departmental budgets.
Been here for 33 years and counting.

Web Designer. Nothing exciting or worth mention...Heh! Funny!
I'm a Network Technician/Admin for a Allen - Bradley / Rockwell Automation distributor and manage networks for smaller businesses in my county. Oh and I'm a father, it's a dirty job, but someone has got to keep those tax payers going.

Bradley/Rockwell. Most IT people in Milwaukee end up there some time in their careers.
Yeah, some of the A-B people are lifers. I work for a distributor though, not directly for A-B. Very interesting job!

I don't think anybody needs to say they "only" do this or that-- whatever you do is providing a product or service that somebody needs or wants. Maybe it's your life calling, maybe you'll be doing something different within a year. Whatever it is you do, just do it well-- that's the most important thing.
I enjoy my job but if anyone needs a pilot for their Learjet, Citation, or Gulfstream go ahead and drop me a line!
Trucking can be a rewarding career, but at the same time unstable. Companies go out of business all the time, and in my last 7 years in management I am already on my 3rd company. Luckily enough each company I have gone to I have gotten better pay, and benefits.
I have tried other careers out on the side, but nothing paid as well as I get paid in trucking. Real estate appraising was a lot of fun. It takes several years of apprenticing under a certified appraiser to be able to get certified, and with a family that just wasn't possible for me to do.
I am currently going to school for Radiology Technology, and should graduate in the Spring of 2009. When I am finished and get a job in the field I will be going back to school to take courses to get my MRI certification. After that I'll finish my business degree, and get a management job for a radiology department.
I will take a little bit of a pay cut at first, but within a few years I'll well exceed what I am making in trucking. The thing I like the most is that I can get a job, and most likely keep it for the rest of my life if I so choose.
My girl is a nurse in a Trauma/Surgical unit at a local hospital, and has been doing it for a long time. We work similar hours, so I wanted a career that we can continue to work similar hours. That way we can keep traveling like we like do now. I don't want to stop traveling to ride rollercoasters. :)
