In the time BGW built Alpie, Apollo, and Griffon, SFMM built S:TE, Riddler's, Deja Vu, X, Goliath, Scream, and Tatsu. Correct me if I'm forgetting any.
Six Flags needs to figure out a way to do this also.
I mean how many SF parks have really gone *that* long without a new coaster? I'm sure for some it's been a while (compared to the mid to late 90's a long while) but it's not like SF has been in some sudden coaster drought for ages now. Especially not compared to some other chains. *** Edited 9/1/2007 8:58:50 PM UTC by matt.***

You forgot Canyon Blaster and Goliath Jr. :)
Though the correction only solidifies your point. BGW built three coasters from 1997 through 2007 whilst SFMM erected nine coasters in that same period.

Can we please not turn this into a BatwingFan is wanting a new coaster for SFA, so let's punch him into submission thread....
Don't forget BFSFA is the one who saw "the mouse track" LOL!
As it is, I just hope SF starts coming up with some new creations rather than just throwing Tony Hawk's at every park that can fit one.

^I think any footer drills you saw are left over from last years Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huck Jam show which was in that area. Besides the half-pipe, they had two ramps for motorcycle jumpers. Previous to that, there was a circus in that area the first year the park was rebranded.
Perhaps the footer drills are a new addition for Fright Fest? :)
A day at the park is what you make it!

They haven't gotten a coaster since 1991, this would have surely been their year.
Why this year instead of the year before or the year before?
Looks like they got a coaster in 1993 and 1999 (though this one didn't last too long).
As For Busch Gardens, the reason people still go their when they only add a coaster every 3-5 years is it's a Theme Park, not an Amusement park which Six Flags has turned all of theirs into.
