This coaster design was supposed to be based on the Batwing flying out of control. Put it in a structrue then you just have a bat trapped in a barn.
It also doen't make sense to change the theme because that specific coaster (and SF clones) is synonymous to Six Flags. Outside of the chain (Or at Sea World) it can be called anything they want.
I guess La Ronde has Vampire. But that's in Canada.
This realy plays on the ignorance of San Antonio if they can't see it is practically the same ride with a different name.
Looking at Google Earth, I can see a couple of open areas they can shoehorn it in.
Thanks for another great season, VF!

The majority of the folks who go to SFFT aren't going to care in the least.
I can see a select few guests being a bit miffed when they realize it's the same coaster down the street but the idea that the B:TR layout should always be labeled B:TR because it's "synonymous with Six Flags" is just silly. Why would any soccer mom and her kids care?
If anything they'll use the B:TR theme because it's easy and they won't have to design all new merchandise.
I wonder if Serial Thriller will get put up for 08, since we are on the subject of relocated inverteds.

It doesn't seem like something that would seem super obvious to a non-enthusiast but maybe that's just me.
Since people think that Raptor, Batman and Dueling Dragons are all the same exact ride (yeah, I've actually heard that), I'm sure non-enthusiasts will put it together, even if there's nothing to put together in this case. Which there is. ;)
That newspaper (Journal de Montreal) is a sensationalistic rag that is always up for beating on La Ronde. They also happen to be the most read newspaper in Montreal... *** Edited 8/6/2007 3:21:03 PM UTC by Absimilliard***
