Favorite inversion!

What is everybody's favorite inversion?
Mine is the Sea Serpant on Medusa

Viper's (SFGad) heartline roll. I know it's rough but if you get past that it is a really fun inversion.

The vertical loop on Riddler's Revenge at SFMM is absolutely breathtaking. It is huge, I believe the the largest of a stand up, and its smooth smooth smooth.

How about Alpengeist's cobra roll? Totally amazing, it is so intense. Second would be one the near miss inversions on Dueling Dragons.

I don't know where that tallest loop thing came from, because I'm fairly certain it's not true.

If Cedar Point would get over that "over-banked" nonsense I'd say MF's first turn. Otherwise, I'd have to go with the immelman on Alpengeist.

Medusa's Zero-g roll is the best inversion I have ever felt. I wish all loopers had them. Riddler's vertcal loop was the tallest until this year. all the new floorless coasters have larger loops I believe.

But it is the largest on a stand up.

I've heard in a few places that BKF loop is the worlds tallest (at 135ft). A good thing to investigate, what is the tallest loop?

BKF's loop is currently my favorite. Whether or not it IS the tallest, it's UP there.

Superman Krypton Coaster's first loop at SFFT Seems to be up there. Not sure on the stats of this floorless.

As for favorite... I'd have to say the inversion right after the standard loop on Montu, whatever that's called. Someone help me out here.

I may sound crazy but the second loop on Double loop at SFO sometimes makes me black out if I sit in the back becasue the gs are so great.! but modern favorite is the loop on BKF or the cobra roll on Raptor

This may sound totally crazy, but I love riding the rock and roll coaster at MGM. I love going through the inversions with the rock music blaring.

backseat, that would be the immelman, aka a diving loop on sit down coasters. And the Superman Krypton coasters loop is 114ft.

Mine would have to be the batwing on Top Gun: The Jet Coaster (carowinds) diving under the walkway with the misting effects is wonderful (especially at night).

BTW: Arent the Immelman and diving loops actually the reverse of each other? Here is my understanding of them

I-man: start at a low altitude, climb up to a higher altitude like a vertical loop till inverted, straighten out via a corkscrew-type ending and maintain the higher altitude.

D-loop: start at a high altitude, slight climb like a corkscrew till inverted, drop to a lower altitude like a vertical loop, straighten out and maintain the lower altitude.

Is that right or am I way off base here? Holla back.

2Hostyl: You're close... the dive loop also starts at a low point. The second Mantis loop is a dive loop, the first on Alpengeist is the immelman.
