EVERYTHING costs somebody something. Even if it's a "free" shuttle, or free water, someone's footing the bill. This weekend, we sure coulda used some of the water South Florida has been draining from "our" aquifer.

Well, we're probably even. I charge him $40 a month for doing all the yard work and he hasn't raised my rent in 5 years.

Unless you'ew mowing the lawn once a month, I think you better increase your rates. $10/week and he's laughing all the way to the bank!

He must like you as a tenant. No rent raise in five years! Are you sure he's still alive? That's almost unheard of these days.

I'll raise mine every other year, or when there's a new school levy passed that makes my property taxes go up. ;)

He must like me. I'm paying much less than the going rate. I think he is afraid I'm going to move out and he will have to deal with applications from college students. I bet I could get him to pay me to stay here!

And I do a lot more than mow the lawn!

Zoos, huh? Last weekend I went to the zoo.

Parking - $0

Entrance - $0

Food and drink prices - reasonable

Man I LOVE the St. Louis zoo. One of only 3 free zoos (I think) in the U.S. My taxes don't even pay for it since I conveniently live across the Mississippi River in IL. :)

The St. Louis zoo *is* frickin' amazing, especially considering the price.

Are there zoo enthusiasts and zoo message boards where people talk about their favorite zoos and what zoo is installing what new exhibits and stuff? It seems like there must be.
