This is a coaster ride.

Cool eh!

Ask not what you can do for a coaster, but what a coaster can do for you.

Dave,

I totally agree with your first point as I also believe that is a good portion of the problem with the ride.

In a rare occurrence, however, I disagree with your second point. I think the helii are a matter of personal preference. I also feel that if they were 'rideable', unlike the current violent shaking they were, that they would be more enjoyable.

I'm not saying a more exciting layout couldn't be made, I am just saying that the helii would be better if the trains were better, thus possibly changing the perception of the helii.

I also inferred the comment that the layout would be redesigned, however.

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

coasterdiscern that would be fun. I think that if son of Beast calms down it will be a good ride and it will be better but if not it hurts

Coaster Disern that isnt a coaster, there are no rails and the ride is not mostly powered by gravity thus it aint a coaster ;).

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

Not what I ment.

Maybe some clarification would be in order because Jeff isn't the only one missing the "ludicrous" part.

My bad. You are correct Swoosh. I will leave my original post for entertainment purposes. :)

Oh Geez matt, Thanks for mocking me!

He stated, "I heard they are not turning away work anymore"

Yes they are! but it's not because they don't want the work. They just won't sacrifice quality for quauntity.

Im looking quite forward to seeing the changes done to the ride for 2007. I hope they are drastic changes that totally improve the rides experience.

I had a crappy day at work and this news made me smile. This past season was the first time in years we didn't make the trip to Kings Island, and that had everything to do with Sonny being closed.

Count me in as a huge fan of the "Rosebowl". There's just something very thrilling about haulin' booty through that giant helix.

The ride obviously had problems, but I still loved it. I'm looking forward to more news...:)

Dont you mean.....getting your booty handed to you?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I love the rosebowl, but the ride following the loop is quite a yawn. I hope that GCI is working on the trains as that's something I've been begging on here to happen for years.

PKI has been in need of a new star attraction for a couple years now. Don't get me wrong the Beast is alright and a few other rides are OK (the water park has only been a draw for me but then again I'm not into water parks as much). I think SOB kind of backfired (especially with the lawsuits and the ride simply not running the way it was intended) and with new management they might be able to get the ride back on track? ;) (yes pun was intentional)

I don't have anything to back this up, but, I think you won't see any changes to the layout, but probably the trains is what will be different. My .02.

Not me, I *just* jumped on that bandwagon last week... ;)

Chuck, I'll let Jeff speak for himself, but what *I* got out of his post is that GCI is no longer "automatically rejecting" requests for trains ONLY, something that HAD previously been the case....

Which takes me back to Danny's post (nice sequitur, eh?)....I've been among those clamoring for GCI to move into the train business, as some of the older (classic) designs really are tough to negotiate with any other trains...esp. since P&C are no longer in the picture.

Well didn't GCII say they'd only sell trains for existing coasters that would compliment them?

If you ask me, There are only a couple coasters out there that would really benifit and actually compliment GCII one of course being Knoebels Twister.

They could be building trains for those GCI rides that are currently using PTCs.

^ They'd always said they'd do THAT (Roar East, Gwazi, HP Wildcat)....the *new* part, to me at least, is the apparent willingness to build trains for rides THEY didn't build...
