BGE - Griffon

Just a head's up, here's the link:

Looks like we have a name for the new Dive Coaster. Can't vouch for the authenticity of this considering it's being hosted on another site and wasn't found by myself but it looks pretty legit.

If thats the name, its pretty lame. Griffon is a breed of dog, as in the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon or the Brussels Griffon. Ha ha.

Perhaps they should have went with Griffin.

Possibly to compete with The Simpsons ride in Universal Gonch? ;)

It looks pretty genuine to me & appaers to be an application to trademark the name & any images they plan to usse for the ride.

If I'm not mistaken a griffon is a mythical creature with the body of a lion & the wings of a dragon so this would also fit in well with BGE's old world european theme.

I didn't know the "on" spelling was accpetable. I always thought it was "in"

I like the name. It sounds like a ride you'd only find at BG Williamsburg... er, Europe.

Probably the common French spelling which would fit with the theme of the area. Same reason we had "Drachen" instead of "Dragon" before.

Gryphon is by far the coolest of the acceptable spellings. I never knew there were so many variants.

Even still, anything but "griffin" looks wrong to me. Funny how you learn something one way and everything else feels wrong.

Gyrphon would be best for a coaster because the letter "y" is inherently evil, as are most letters at the end of the alphabet.

who gives what the heck it is?!? Lets just try to do some research to figure out what kind of coaster/ride it is going to be. It's about time they get a new coaster. They only have 4. When I was on the site it said, "Vertical Flying." That will be a cool combination if that means what I think it does.

It's a dive coaster by virutally all accounts.

In french, the mythical creature is written "Griffon", so it make sense if its in the France section.

Sounds interesting.. .althrough there's many ways they could theme it.

But its in France shouldnt it be LE-Griffon ?
