BGE - Griffon

Heh... if only Peter Griffin were a real person, Peabody. Maybe Scott Macfarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, and Mila Kunis could come to represent the entire Griffin family. Freakin' sweet, indeed!

...It's about time they get a new coaster. They only have 4.

I'll take a BGE/HW-type park anyday over a park that has 12...13...even 17 coasters, but half or more of them totally suck!

Let alone a park with 17 coasters, 2 of which are kiddie, 1 of which is SBNO, half of which are closed on any given day and the rest of which run 1 train.

They want Peter Griffin to promote the new ride?

I watch the show on very rare occasions myself but I've been told there's something of a resemblance.

I miss Drachen Fire

I swear to god i'm not Coaster Discern. If I was coaster discern I would say my favorite web is freewebs.com/hotcoasters.

Yea, anyway I kind of agree with Floorless Coaster Fan , Appolo Andy, and BG nut. I do agree that all of the coasters are cool there. and very well maintained, i'm just saying that the park would be better with more coasters. But yes quantity is less important than quality, and Six Flags Gadv proves that point.

Well I don't have much to say but I agree with Gonch. Gryphon is definitely the most retro spelling.

...will Busch hire Kathy Griffin to make a celebrity appearance on opening day?

I must be old...this is the first person I thought of!

Was there today, they have been shuffling a lot of dirt around (plus Le Mans and virtually any tree in the area is gone) and it appears that something is going to come very close to the Rhine (like Alpie's Cobra roll, but with how thin the new decline is Im betting Dive loop.)

Good one, Mamoosh... but somehow I don't think Busch could convince Merv Griffin go for a ride on the coaster. Kathy on the other hand would be all for it - especially if she could tape it for her reality show on Bravo.
I have not had any time to play around on CB in awhile. Cousin and really good friend are getting married. I realize my "MY BAD" post was really bad and I didn't realize it. I work very hard, go to school and am trying to organize two weddings. I am not sirchubs, and I am not a very good computer programmer that would be able to pull something like that off. Now that you guys have shredded me all over the place and ripped me a new as***le, I just really wanted to see whats new and exciting on CB today. Thank you very much. I have had a wonderful day today and you guys just made it better. :-)

Keep on rocking in the roller world!

I'm begging to FEEL the name more and more. Decided to wait and see how I felt about it after a couple days, now I like it ALOT.

It really does play EXTREMELY well into the whole "Africa vs. Europe, Dark Continent vs. Olde Country" type of theme. Then, compare SheiKra to Griffon, swooping mythical bird-of-prey type creatures...DOES seem to feed more fuel to the fire of the dive-machine theorists (like me, LOL). :)

Wilde Maus, Festhaus, etc., the older European spellings abound (see above). Under this *theming*, Griffon with an 'O' makes sense to me. Gryphon, that would just be too confusing to Americans who grew up in our *edjukashun* system... ;)

What section is this Dive Machine destined for? I'm asuming Ireland since they need a thrill ride. I guess we won't be seeing a wood coaster named Banshee anytime soon. How sad, BGE really needs some wood. *** Edited 7/24/2006 2:08:44 PM UTC by rc-madness***

I belive it is near Alpengeist, but in the New France/wildlife area right where the car ride currently sits.

The Le Mans site, see:
http://www.buschgardens.com/bgw//_images/bmap_bgwillbrg.jpg

The constuction site litterally stretches from the LNM's pre lift curve through Alpie's swooping rise to its mid course break.

French Explorer Rene Robert Seuir De Lasalle's ship was also named the Griffon, FYI. A nice tie-in.

Looks like this story is in the local paper.
