I am going to SFGA June 23rd. Does anyone know if KA will be open by then?

Not only is the Coasterbuzz crystal ball broken, the Lemon Chill Guy's phone is disconnected. :(

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.

Maybe it was the Lemon Chill guy's phone that fell on the track in the first place. :)

I hope it is open by June 16th. I will be there and would be bummed if it isn't open, but at least there will be Nitro, Medusa, and El Toro sounds like it will be open by then.

25 Parks..............
123 Coasters........
....and still going!

RatherGoodBear and I have solved the mystery! It was the Lemon Chill Guy's phone!!!! I heard he and the Ice Cream Stand Girl were having a 'disagreement' at the time! :O

Honestly, I am having some trouble buying the cell phone theory. It just seems to me that a cell phone has no chance against the catch car sled and that it would have just been crushed by it. I can't help but wonder if something went wrong with the cable and/or sled that wasn't related to a foreign object. Regardless, it's all speculation. *** Edited 5/10/2006 7:19:32 PM UTC by SVLFever***

Exactly, SVL. Each wanted to be the first to announce to the world what Cedar Point's 2007 project is. It got so bad that some guests thought they were actually at SFMM on a Friday night in October.

It's been a few days and no new news posted. Any "insiders" on what happened???

There are *reports* that Ka's new cable has arrived and is either installed or being installed....

Best bet is it's the SAME cable (diameter, tensile strangth, number of strands) as the cables that have already PROVEN problematic...

"Ka - Ride it while it's runnin'"....gotta love GAdv's marketing dep't. ;)

The cable has been installed and tightened. There were employee's walking about in the station today. My guess is that they'll be opening it soon!

^and closing soon after. ;) Why the heck they bought this ride after the grief that TTD gave CP (and still gives to some extent) is beyond me.

Of course I think they should have used the money that they used to buy the ride and built several smaller Storm Runner coasters at their parks around the nation instead -- Heck they could even called them the Flash since they are so into this DC thing right now.

Are we gonna go through this everytime the ride breaks? Yes, they took a gamble on buying a "problematic" ride and got more than they bargained for. Yes, they should have spent their money on fixing the parks's festering problems instead of adding yet another coaster. Yes, there were other more reliable rides they could have built for much cheaper. And yes, Cedar Point no longer has the world's tallest and fastest coaster. Is there anything else?

Let's complain about NE Ohio weather instead. One of the coldest, wettest Mays in history.

Besides, they were probably already designing and developing KK well before TTD opened.

I like that one...build a bridge. I'll have to use that some time. ;)

^I wish that were true, but they designed KK using the Blue Prints for TTD. At least that's what the Special program about KK stated.
